Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

I think its more best design and finish vs grail figs, and you cant compare them 2 tbh. Hulk will be a Grail fig for me just like my Reeve Supes, Hellboy and keaton Bats etc.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

Hulk will be a grail for sheer size and expression. Sparrow is the one to beat for sheer accessories and style. The likeness is also unreal.

That's the great thing about Hulk though; he's so different from everyone else, there doesn't need to be a competition on the shelves. Let everyone else have a fashion show, Hulk gives you popped veins like a map of the Mississippi River!

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

What do you consider to be the best?

DX Jack Sparrow is up there, aside from being a bit off in likeness, the first John Connor is a very impressive figure, the new DX Joker has a lot more going on with it. I just think figures like that have a lot more to show for them to display the abilities of the company. Hulk's paint will be fairly simple, nothing to stand out there, his costume is just pants so it's not like they're even dealing with layering parts and keeping the scale. Figures like Jack and Joker have multilayer costumes that would look too bulky if not handled right and the fact that HT manages to avoid this impresses me. Hulk will look great for sure, and certainly there will be aspects to the body that are impressive for looks and articulation, but aside from that, there won't be anything to him that will jump out as representative of the best HT can do. Even Jake Sully is better, more detail, still a unique body.

I agree about the characters with multiple layers. Creates alot more display options too.

Well, since there's nowhere else really to share this, and we're still waiting on this figure, thought I'd share this here, got my Marvel Select Mark VI today, I know it's the wrong mark for the final fight, but, it's got a great metallic paint job, articulation and all, it's just the best looking IM you can get to go in scale with these guys so that's why I'm using it in my set.

I have that iron man aswell, its a great figure, I just hate how Diamond select didnt paint his eyes. What captain america is that?

They painted the IM eyes on the Avengers re-release thankfully, I noticed that in reviews of the IM 2 version, I would have painted them myself but makes it easier when you don't have to.

Cap, Thor and Hawkeye are the Walmart Exclusive Marvel Legends figures.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

Not a chance, it is the most basic figure design short of a naked man, there are characters with far more intricate costumes and designs that would be more impressive, in fact we've already gotten plenty. This might be the most awe inspiring for it's size, that's about it.

Don't matter if basic. Presence has much to with it becoming an amazing figure.

Not intricate cloth designs.

Never said it wouldn't be an amazing figure, just not the most amazing ever, as was asked.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

Loki will also be hard to beat. As for sheer awe - I think this will be a definitely eye catcher in any collection!

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

DX Jack Sparrow is still the 1/6 mass produced figure to beat IMHO.

:exactly:

Still my favourite figure

Hulk will be a grail for sheer size and expression. Sparrow is the one to beat for sheer accessories and style. The likeness is also unreal.

jake Sully is also a grail for size and paint, asof now it is the best figure for paint detailing and accessory detailing

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

I really can't even imagine what some people will do to (destroy) this figure with customs.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

Batman excels at controlling the battlefield. He would never willfully go toe to toe with the Hulk. It's simply which fanbase was greater at that time, not a serious contest. Kind of like the WWE.

Edit: For the record I'm cool with Batman winning, but in a more realistic calm-him-down fashion using diversionary tactics and devices.

Thats always the excuse for Batman, he would surely win if he had time to devise this and this and all this other bull____. How bouts he just 'runs' into Hulk, Thor, Iron Man, Spider-man or Wolverine?

Batman will die of old age. I've just never understood the insane infatuation with him.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

Has there not even been a Hulk sneak peek yet? Man they are making you guys wait forever.

Not a Hulk fan myself, but it really does seem that Hulk fans are getting the short end of the stick here.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

Read other posts Interesting! Hulk is pretty basic, but all that he needs is his SIZE!

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

Actually between the two behind the scenes pictures, we have seen the whole body and head. Granted these are sculpt but still shows what the figure will look like.
