Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

Can the DX02 sit down or raise his arms above the head? :lol

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

I doubt this will be very posable but isn't the first nor last HT figure with such claim. It is The Hulk nothing else matters.

You want the hulk to sit down? Do you really have figures SITTING in your shelve? O_O

I wonder if you guys actually you know.. play with these figures, as in, pitch em against eachother, with funny voices.

And I could get my DX02 in fine poses, very different from eachother. Sure, he cant hold his batears in his hand, but what the hell sort of pose would that be?!

A thick rubber muscled hulk would not be poseable at all compared to Bats who even with a thin suit is limited in movement.

You would still need exposed joints on the shoulders etc to be able to get any movement anyway.

Rubber sucks donkey balls i'd rather have him like the new Preds or Sully.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

I think that would look silly posing him like that, unless you got another figure lying on the ground, bloodied. :p

While that specific pose may not be the best, Hulk definitely would benefit from a great range of shoulder articulation than HT muscle bodies offer, even the new ones don't have a great range, yes it's another exposed joint, but Enterbay's Rambo body is probably the best anyone can do as far as keeping joint exposure to a minimum while keeping almost as much articulation as basic body with very unsightly joints.

As ugly as the midsection joint is on the Diamond figure, I think they did a pretty damn good job with the arms, sure you can see joints, but to me, a lot less than other figures and the posability of his arms is very extensive.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

At the end of the day these are action figures, there a load of Hulk statues out there, you got a problem with joints then buy one of them as a rubber body hulk would essentially end up being be a statue anyway with all the articulation it would loose.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

I assumed the Hulk would be pretty much like Hawkeye with the joints. I was hoping that HT would come up with something special to avoid it, but not surprised that they have the visible joints.

They used to have something special to avoid it... and it fell apart. :monkey5

:exactly:

I dont think some people get the point on these posable high end figures. The ability to pose a figure does not necessarily mean extreme posing. With an exposed joint figure, you will never have to worry about it holding that position and damaging the rubber. That is why I really like the HT Bruce Lee figure. It can achieve many cool poses and I never have to worry about stress marks or tearing on the rubber.

I would even be ok with a body like the T800 arnold for the hulk.

But anyways, day one purchase for me. Hope there is an exclusive with extra head.

HT has never done an exclusive extra head like SSC's statues/PFs... I hope they'll never start, closes I'd think is the exclusive crushed helmet of Mk. 3 (or predator skulls).

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

I'm not too picky with the joints movement. I would rather give up a little movement and have a hulk that looks just like the one in the movie. If the paint, facial expression and likeness are there then sign me up.

so they can go through the trouble of building special bodies for Avatar and Predator , but the cant bother to do the same with Hulk who they might end up charging alot more for only to get less movement heck if I can't complete the avengers set I might just restricy my purchases to one or two figures

what the hell are you talking about ?! you seen other figures use the hulk''s body ? it's not like you're getting a the same body as T800 or Barney Ross, this is MADE for the hulk.

I believe you're right.
They did show an extra head with their Classic Predator, but the final product released with only one head:
