Hot Toys - MMS187 - X-Men: The Last Stand: Wolverine

I was going to bite at $189, albeit grudgingly. However, $235 is highway robbery. I could go thru the list of all the other recent HT figures that have more for less or have more for just alittle more, but I think it's easy to see that this Wolvie is too much...

HT Star Wars Luke for $65 more comes with a whole other figure and weather vain base. And comes from one of the most expensive IPs out there.

HT Supes is $25 less and comes with a far better (although simpler) base and spot-on likeness.

HT Avengers Fury comes with far more gear (including light-up Tesseract) for far less $$$.

HT IM MkII Unleashed is tons more intricate and lights up for far less $$$.

Those are just the ones off the top of my head. As you can see, some are even from the same Marvel license and yet the pricing is that much different.

Good examples...........................very good examples..all these are far better likenesses , to boot!

This is only the beginning. Every new figure from this point on is going to be outrageously priced. I don't want to see what a new DX figure is going to cost.

This is so true . I only have so much room in my display . I have every predator . The terminator collectibles exxxx I have no more room . I still have ghost rider and superman boxed up and brand new in the box . Never took them out because I have no place to put them .

That's a shame. Superman is glorious. No idea about Ghost Rider though. he was before my time. Superman was my first HT. Then I splurged and got Indy. Then 89 Bats and Joker. Then Captain Jack. Then I was in trouble. LOL!

But I'm not going to spend this kind of money throughout 2013, let alone beyond that. I didn't have a HT collection. Now I do. I'll add here and there, but I don't need to gobble everything up.

I'll still grab any other Pirates characters. When Prometheus happens, I'm in. We'll see beyond that.

I remember the good old days when I bought my first hot toys . It's was the elder predator 2 for $135 . At the time I couldn't believe I was paying that much for a model kit but stuck it out got it . Insane at the time . Now there double in price almost . What's going on ? It's 1/6 scale .

Is everyone really serious about getting out?..cause I am! I have to pinch myself but this figure put me over the edge....
I may just keep with 1/4 cause at current prices they are the most reasonable for what you get.......

It's also a timing thing for me, I don't know about anyone else. Had they put this on in a quiet patch I think I probably would have had a sniff.

As it is, I doubt there is anyone who collects HT or PF without at least 4-5 pieces planned before x-mas, possibly upwards including vehicles and figures planned for Q1/2.

It just makes it an easy decision. Unless you have dollars falling out your pockets.

Agree. As is I may even cancel some of my pre-orders. I don't know what I was thinking when I pre-ordered Joker 2.0 When I am perfectly happy with the first DX Joker. Non-refundable deposit is lost as soon as i cancel

Happy with origin Logan, not letting this one get the better of me.

Going to have to cut way way down and stick to Batman and Terminator................................if they don't go through the roof price-wise.

The good news is that it's a 6 month preorder wait. It would be a lot Harder to resist if it was available right now and you were afraid of it selling out . You have to get it right now or else .

And if I buy one that I feel strongly about every 3-4 months, I can do that. But the more I have, the less I need. The higher a bar each potential purchase will have to cross.

Again, I don't want to have $200 figures in boxes. They're either displayed or a waste.

I agree with this situation also . Like an idiot I preorderd 2 predator 2 because of over excitement and not thinking clearly . I'm more then happy with my original p2 . I'm also happy with my dx joker and I'm skipping the 2.0 .

Sounds like me. I started off with the Classic Predator, then saw the Keaton Bats, then Superman , I love Arnie so had to have the T2 then damn "Dutch PF looks sick" ...... and so the story goes.

Now I'm up to my knee's in pre-orders and decisions after just wanting a "couple" of cool looking figures. This has given me a bit of a wake up call though. Probably a good thing!
