Because a Marvel section without an X-Man on the front page isn't a Marvel section :D

According to Hot Toys Japan March, which is like April for everywhere else. But I think they spelled June wrong because it isn't spelled M-A-R-C-H, so probably Julyish. (all assumption)

Ah! Here's the other thread!

Yup. Unfortunately I think Wolvie is it for the modern X Men line. HT can barely get the XM:FC Xavier out!

Unless the new Wolverine and new XMen Days of Future Past movies are huge hits, this is all we'll probably see of our mutants.

I've been an X-Men fan since the late '70s but could never see buying these versions. The costumes are terrible (though the tailoring on Wolvie's costume is very good), X3 was nonsensical and just a travesty of a movie (like don't people need an emotional connection to a movie anymore to buy **** from it?). Totally don't understand why anyone would want to support it by buying $200.00+ figures, personally, so hopefully this is the last we see of the X1-3 movie versions. *drives stake into heart of old X-movie franchise*

Best thing that's come from the X-Men movie franchise.

That was in an X-Men film?

Dude, just because you don't want it, wanting to deprive those who do is assholish. At keast for a line that hasn't even gotten some figures yet.

X1-2 were great movies, the costumes while not accurate to the comics served their function of uniting the member under a team look.

If it weren't for the original X-Men film I doubt we'd of even got Nolan's Batman, Raimi's Spiderman or the whole MCU etc etc. Signer's first X-Men film really laid the foundation for all comic book films over the past decade and the best thing about Singer's X-Men is that it still holds up today, without a doubt one of my top 5 films of all time :)

:goodpost:

People these days think of the MCU as the only marvel films. X2 remains the best Team superhero movie for me, and SM2 the best solo movie.

I gotta say 955 posts in this thread and however many in the other thread for this figure seems to show some interest in this figure and this line. We all can't be wrong. I like the xmen movies. While not the greatest movies of all time they are some of my favorite comic book movies. I mean come on they weren't Dare Devil bad. I'd buy any character from this line but not all the baddies. Probably just:
Magneto
Mystique
Saber tooth
Toad
Juggernaut
Dark Phoenix

I'll be honest as much as I do love Singer's X-Men films (like I said a minute ago) I'm not interested in Hot Toys doing them all, whereas all The Avengers have their own unique look buying a whole team of X-Men all wearing more or less the same outfit doesn't really appeal to me, just getting Wolverine in that outfit is enough (especially as I didn't think Hot Toys would ever even touch the original trilogy)

Just having a bit of fun at the expense of X3 (X1 -2 were alright). Hopefully Days of Future Past does really well, along with The Wolverine so we can get a better version. This X3 version is well done but not even close to a definitive Wolvie, IMO.

I recently watched the whole trilogy back and tbh I actually prefer Last Stand to X2, only criticism I could really make of Last Stand is it went a little too Wolverine focused at the end. For me...

X-Men
Last Stand
X2

Deathstrike would be good as there aren't many female villains out there and she could pose with Wolverine.

Mystique because she'd be amazing as a figure and again female.

Nightcrawler would be excellent as there aren't many non-human looking characters plus his outfit is unique.

I think most people who buy this will be pretending it's him from X1 or X2 :lol

I love all three X-MEN films personally - for different reasons.

The first one particularly, because back in 2000 when I went to the theater to see it with a few of my close friends, we were collectively blown away by it. We really wanted it to be good.. but weren't expecting much. Hugh Jackman completely caught us off guard - we all initially thought he was a RIDICULOUS choice for Wolverine - & how very wrong we were about that! :lol

As far as any HT figures go for me, I'm hoping for Halle & Famke in some incarnation - they'd be excellent. I'd also like them to do a great X1 civi Logan too - all gritty & raw, with a spot on likeness.

I'm not asking for much HT.. :monkey3
