I do this all the time with my SS deliveries. The UPS station is 5 minutes from my office. Otherwise I have to wait until around 7 and we aren't home to sign a lot of evenings. Nice to be able to pick them up around lunch time.

You should be able to pull the buckle straight. Worse case flip the jacket up pull the strap off and reglue it.
