Thanks man, yea its a shame in avp that Celtic and chopper got killed so quick ...that hurt... damn aliens messing up my predator movie haha.. But aliens are still cool..

Ya a damn shame but I luv aliens too, I just assume that the grid alien must be a real badass or else chopper and Celtic would have killed their fair share of bugs.

furyan only the cgi scenes with scar really showed him move like a pred should, I think avpr did a much better job at showing the pred agility with wolf, I think as much as it might upset Stan R.I.P. they should do the next pred movie using totally cgi preds so they could really make them impressive to watch.

That would be the biggest mistake imaginable.

You can't have a predator without the suit. CGI would ruin every bit of their intimidating presence and sense of reality.

wolf don't mess around, ultimate big screen pred, scar had the potential he could have been another wolf eventually, damn shame, never let your guard down when fighting a queen, rookie mistake

Don't get me wrong I luv the suit for close ups and static shots, it just looks horrible when they show them moving in it, so maybe not 100%cgi but everything but static, crouching and close up shots. Again I luv Stan winstons work and even predator 1 used special effects for the agile shots of the pred jumping tree to tree.

It's just hard for a guy in a suit to move or fight the way a pred should, other then the crouching and slow moving shots which I still luv the suit for. Just my humble opinion.

Watch avpr and you will see what I mean, when wolf is crouching or moving slow the suit is awesome, the cgi scenes look awesome, but when they try and have the guy in the suit do the action scenes in the suit it just looks bad, like when wolf kicks in the glass at the hospital and several others like that.

They should get Christopher Nolan to direct, with what he did for batman, imagine a avp trilogy in his hands, that would never happen tho

And that's what it should be used for like it was in AvP. Intense action scenes that just can't be pulled off naturally with a suit.

But to make them full CGI would be humiliatingly awful.

Hot toys avp wish list alien eggs, Celtic with both masks, severed alien tail, battledamaged reversible wrist blades, chopper with right colored mask, severed face hugger, chestburster, ancients with alien head spear, and accurate looking wolf with all accessories and a large multiple dead alien dio stand, they better not try and turn wolf into two releases again, I hate that ****

I suspect you guys had too much movie drink or smoke to enjoy movie correctly but all good . I loved avp kinda liked avpr and just need to try and watch predators again. hated a lot of predators but if any redo needs to be done is predator 2 . That was the worst so much bad acting. except 4 the predator scene's.

Generally it is not a great idea to be drunk or high when installing and mounting a $5000 TV. But I was more than likely the second watch though as I would of needed it to get through it.

Exactly. CGI would be good for some of those types of parts. I dont know how they did it in the first two preds but they did it right. These newer films are just off... In the originals you could see the stalking and attack methods of various earthly species blending together to form the Predators poise. Made for a really believable creature. Also nobody has come close to Kevin Peter Hall's acting performance as a Predator.

Ive never seen AVPR, but if you say the pred acting is more P1 style then Ill give it a watch sometime. Is Wolf the "main" pred in the movie? Does he get the most face time?

The director of predator was just smart enough to only use the suit for those close slow moving scenes like it should be.

Wolf is basically the only pred in the movie, they briefly show some on board the ship get killed by the predalien, but then it's all wolf, give it a watch but bear in mind that the wolf is probably all you will enjoy and you will be frustrated by the piss poor lighting, you have to watch this movie in damn near total darkness to see what's going on sometimes.
