Ive never seen AVPR, but if you say the pred acting is more P1 style then Ill give it a watch sometime. Is Wolf the "main" pred in the movie? Does he get the most face time?

Wolf is the most bad ass Predator of them all IMO. He quite often near ties P1 for the best Predator in many polls. He looks fantastic, acts like he could be a brother of p1-p2. Its just a shame he is in the movie it was.

Wolf is the best Predator we've had since 1990. Just watch his scenes in AVPR and you can skip the rest if you like. He's one badass Predator.

Absolutely amazing that part, it's the movie's money shot. OMG, the Strauss brothers are so great in fight scenes. Less is more, right?

I think the leg armor only looks weird because the thighs are way too long. Seriously, doesn't anyone else notice that? If you look at where the knees are versus the crotch, it's even more obvious.

Both the first avp and predators suffered from the same horrible writing or direction choices in that they killed off the two supporting preds without us ever really getting to see them in action, which is what people want from these movies, both directors foolishly tried to capture what the first predator had in not showing you the predator until like halfway thru the movie and you can't repeat that effect because we already know what predators are we just want to see what they can do and I think the avp movies show that much better then predators, in predators you never see them leaping or using tech or really much of what makes them cool, with the exception of mr blacks plasma cannon which was sweet or mr. Blacks new vision mode which I really liked, you just saw them stomping around, they never really felt as much like the super hunters they were hyped up to be. I think predators could have been awesome with a better director, but to each their own and I am grateful for any new chance for predators to hit the big screen hopefully we will get another movie that finally let's a predator win for once , I mean they are supposed to be the ultimate hunters for gods sake.

That is what has always gotten me. Why is it they can kill off this human and that human but the star human. Kicks there butt. The 1st movie had it right. Even the last, you had a top end killer going head to head (without tech) to each other.

AVP-R the Predator really did't seem to care about anything but taking out the Alien's at 1st then gave up and went after the Alien. Again he was taken out but by a Nuke and the rest of the town.

I like the movies. But in the next one. No more Token Predator or Humans. If I want that (Ok I will still buy a ticket and the blu-ray) I will watch South Park.

That's why I was saying mgbb should cast and sell his avp parts for this guy. It would really make him pop

And yeah the open mandibles are kinda useless with this figure. W/o an open jaw he looks like he's smiling. Or saw a sexy girl predator.
Hate to sound nit picky but we're all perfectionists when it comes to our preds right?

And don't forget to throw in an alien egg with each, so the hunt can begin, I know I keep bringing up the alien eggs but they would look so sweet in the display with the avp preds, a must in my 1/6 pred collection.

I was going to buy SSC 1/1 Egg but pass. It did not open or show what was inside the egg. Why nice I just did not feel it was worth it. Being it would be grow level and everyone (even me) would try to look inside it.

furyan only the cgi scenes with scar really showed him move like a pred should, I think avpr did a much better job at showing the pred agility with wolf, I think as much as it might upset Stan R.I.P. they should do the next pred movie using totally cgi preds so they could really make them impressive to watch.

More likely it would be done like Iron man is. The stuntmen would get to move faster and better. Those suit are big and hot on them.

The other two, why even give them a 1/6 its not like they had any real screen time. But then again same could be said about the clones.

Oh who are we joking. We will still buy it.

Wolf predator was epic in avpr ! He took out those aliens like it was nothing.. I was in awe..... And let's not forget the blond girl shurikened into the wall. I rewatched that part a few times.

When he did that, he became my new hero.

wolf don't mess around, ultimate big screen pred, scar had the potential he could have been another wolf eventually, damn shame, never let your guard down when fighting a queen, rookie mistake

But he went out fighting the Queen. Not some low end bug like the other two did. What was their names again. Dead 1 Pred and Dead 2 Pred?

Watch avpr and you will see what I mean, when wolf is crouching or moving slow the suit is awesome, the cgi scenes look awesome, but when they try and have the guy in the suit do the action scenes in the suit it just looks bad, like when wolf kicks in the glass at the hospital and several others like that.

I have seen "A" suit. I can tell you they don't look like a person could move very good in them. From what I was told that is why they seem to move slow on screen (P1/P2). But if not for JCVD doing what he did. Maybe we would a faster, smaller Predator. Hurting the actors because you could was not a good thing.

Generally it is not a great idea to be drunk or high when installing and mounting a $5000 TV. But I was more than likely the second watch though as I would of needed it to get through it.








Exactly. CGI would be good for some of those types of parts. I dont know how they did it in the first two preds but they did it right. These newer films are just off... In the originals you could see the stalking and attack methods of various earthly species blending together to form the Predators poise. Made for a really believable creature. Also nobody has come close to Kevin Peter Hall's acting performance as a Predator.

To bad he die.

Btw how much did the original scar sale for on the 2nd market? I seen one selling for over $2000.but not sure what one.

Big bucks, especially for such a poorly designed figure, hell the McFarlane 12 inch scar looked better and was way cheaper, which is why this remake was so badly needed, people want 1/6 avp preds, and this new design looks good, it's got little issues here and there but as soon as you look at it you are like damn that's scar, so I'll buy as is but I really hope they fix the lenses on the mask, but if not I can probably do that myself. Can't wait to see new wolf he's the one I really hope they get right this time
