Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

I just got a couple of loose headsculpts from HK that i ordered a few days back for my previous custom figures.
I can only echo what everyone else has said. The likeness is incredible, even though they slightly upped the scale. Now i am *really* looking forward to receiving mine from SS when they get them in.
It's going to be difficult to display this head on anything short of a TTM20 though, or the HT MOS body itself.
And even then, because they lengthened the neck peg, people will need to find something in the customs section for that.

Username are you going to mod a superman head with a light up heat vision lol?

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

It's from the new Eminem video for "Rap God" :p Just thought it was cool.. Really like the song and he levitates as he raps insanely fast.

When I first heard that song I didn't like it when it started but once it got to him really just flowing so fast...man it's hard to to be impressed

I am. But i have ordered a few Headplay bootlegs to do that on.
The HT ones are too expensive to risk destroying them!

I know the feeling. I have a Ht Sweeney Todd head that I've always been thinking of turning into an Edward Scissorhands but it's just pretty that I don't want to mess it up :lol

Yeah I don't blame you, maybe when SS gets there's price will drop a bit.

Of course. I expect the price to be in the $50 to $60 range once everyone has them, and i expect that the MMS200 will have been an edition size that was maxed out.
I will have a stack of these heads within a month that will last me for a while.

I can see you making alot of customs lol.

Irony of ironies, I'd probably have already bought more if they had made the figure in 1/6.
As it is, it's in the high end between 1/6 and 1/5.
It's not a problem for individual customs.
But displaying them on a shelf with 1/6 figures will make him seem like a giant.

Yeah, he will be a god to them lol.

It would be all but impossible for people not to realise that this 7foot tall guy in specs who *just turned up when Superman did* isn't in fact the man of steel.
It's like how Stewie in Family guy works out who Batman was:

Glad everyone is enjoying their MOS Superman and I'm sure when SS starts shipping, there will be more to come.

Xenomorph nice review and pics. I like the idea in your video review of how to position him on the stand. Hope you don't mind but It inspired me

(tall dude....)

Ryno, Guyver, & Xeno - All great work with your photos and reviews! I sure hope this figure is available to the rest of us in the coming weeks! It is by far my most anticipated upcoming figure right now! Thank you for sharing! And kudos again to HT for the MoS perfection!!! :wave

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

Anyone tried putting the shorter foot pegs on him yet?

this is what i posted on another board ,i also split the seam of the suit when swapping the boots out ,the suit is joined to the ankle ,to stop it riding up ,when the knee popped out ,it split the suit ,so take care if you think its worth while doing it
hi steve not sure if you can be bothered with modding a $200 figure but ,if you switch out the ankle pegs on supes to the regular short ones ,it brings him more in line to the early releases ,i couldnt find my needle nosed pliers to do the swich but giving supes his dads boots does the same reduction ,heres supes with the c reeve supes ,not perfect perhaps ,but better i think
