Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

Has anyone posed new and old Superman together? Not just for comparision but in an actual display? If so, can you post pictures? I think I saw one picture somewhere within these 595 pages. I will be ordering mine in the next two weeks and I'm trying to gathers some ideas. Thanks

Sorry to hear that.. The good thing about this hobby is that the figures increase in value over time instead of depreciating like vehicles. So if worse comes to worse you can usually make your money back plus some if you had to sell you collection. This is what I tell my wife when she sees how much I'm spending on action figures LOL

Hopefully it wont come to that though. Best of luck with your job search.

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

from those of you that already have this figure... is there any issues w/ it, or things to watch out for? just anxious to get mine and wondering if there are any problematic areas to look out for.

thanks! it is hard to justify me buying this when we had the "we need to watch expenses until I get rehired" talk
not too worried though, already have an opportunity in the pipe

2 more weeks till hes here!

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

Thanks.
I also made a sniper rifle version.
I was thinking Batman would have just this kind of thing(Just like he tends to in the comics), just in case.

You actually moulded this? Or made out of custom parts?

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

Do you guys think it would be safe to paint the dynamic stand to blend into my background image?

yeah shouldn't be a problem. I'm repainting the belt and fixing up the gauntlets and already modded the collar with no issues.

Plus a long while back somebody repainted the Keaton Batman stand with no problems.

I'm not going to paint the stand itself but the flexible rod that holds the waist grabber...

The rifle in the left hand at the top was made from a warhammer railgun with parts i made myself, and every other weapon in the pic was custom made, by me from scratch.
Not pictured with the rest but also made by me was another rifle, made from a flat styrene frame, and parts from the hull of a 1/48 scale spitfire model kit and some 1/72 tank parts. But the rest are one of a kind creations.

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

Hello everyone! I'm new here and I've only recently started collecting Hot Toys. I preordered Man of Steel Supes last year, so he''ll be my first 1/6th scale figure. From the pictures I've seen on here, he seems to look awesome in person.

Even if you weren't a complete fan of the film, it is a collectors piece to own. Not bad at all being your first HT, you won't be disappointed. :wave

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

Yeah I'm still not very sold on the film and don't know how much I need a Live Action Superman on the shelf. But it's going to be really hard to pass this guy up for the $200 it will cost. I did a BBTS PO backup in case I don't have the cash on hand when Sideshow ships next week.
