Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

Black thread.. Used a tiny piece of tape.

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

I may try the same with clear fishing line

Yeah fishing line would be my first choice, but since the background is black, it would show up too much. So I used the black thread.

Looks good to me! Can't wait to get mine in. Acrylic for the display arrives tomorrow, backdrop came in today, and finished the base yesterday, should be ready to rock when he arrives. How thick is the base that come with the figure? I couldn't get an answer but hoping its 1/2" or thinner lol.

Now back to your regularly scheduled pose:

Thanks man, real nice custom! but I think the sculpt was made for the superman suit, because his hair was more curled out as clark. I thought he slicked his hair back more as superman which is where HT wanted to capture superman's look with the sculpt. When he first came out wearing the suit from the fortress, At least IMO.

If you get another hs, would you try adding a five o clock shadow to the face, because that would be interesting to the look when he had those clothes on.

Yeah this was just to see how it looked.. That sculpt is from my MOS. I already have the modern life sculpt coming, and it's being painted with a beard.

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

I had mine on flex pay and never got an email about early processing. I just contacted them and was told they could put a reminder in to charge the remainder of the balance on the 15th and couldn't do it before then cause it is expected to arrive on the 14th but cannot charge until it's actually in their warehouse. At first the lady told me I'd have to just call them back on the 15th to request the early processing until I asked is there no way we could do that today?

Does that sound weird to anyone? Usually they will just say, what is your order number, ok we'll charge it when it arrives in our warehouse and done.:cuckoo:

I called today and its suppose to arrive in their warehouse this week. I was informed they would charge me on the day it actually comes in stock. Thus moving up my final payment by a couple of weeks. Expected shipment is either tomorrow or Wednesday. Fyi.

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

Can't wait to be charge and sent my tracking number. Today seams to be going so SLOW! Hopefully I can have him by the end of this week.

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

Well, I got the notice that they would be getting these in the warehouse but I haven't heard anything else since then. Might be awhile I'm guessing.

Yeah, just kind of seem liked the convo was a bit weird. Like I said normally they just say, if you'd like for us to go ahead and charge the remaining balance so you could get your figure we can charge it as soon as it arrives in the warehouse. Instead of, well you can call back on this day cause that's when it's expected to come in and tell us then that you want to do early payment processing to receive the figure.

Well make sure they paint the right beard on. Remember he had two styles. A medium sized, a little thicker than a two day old five o clock shadow through most of the film and then a full on santa looking beard from the boat scene.

Yep thanks.. It's the shorter beard from the spaceship scene.

its a $30 knock off body with the thigh extenders on , with a marvel studios muscle shirt cut down to fit it ,im hoping it will look right when the jor el suit is on and sewn tight

even though its a bit redundant now ,i finally finished off my superman kit bash ,thank in part to Barry kindly passing on a couple of his unwanted head sculpts ,thanks again Barry ,jorel boots ,suit plus marker pen ,and jorels cape ,i noticed in the movie dream sequence the capes on the black suits seemed to be a rusty wine shade ,so as i had one spare and hot toys put a lot of work into it ,i used it lol ,looks a little like some of the concept art unused versions of the suit

Nice but with all do respects on these custom heads, I'm just not seeing Cavill in these HS. The hair is more in sync but it could be the quality of these pics but I don't see Cavill. Remind me more of a off the wall portrait of Mark Ruffalo.

Now it could be because I own the HT version and every now and then I look over to my display, but if HT used this custom hair with their sculpt I think we have a winner.

Ryno I'd like to get your thoughts on these custom sculpts comparing them to the HS one in hand
