Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

Cool, thx.
I've been wanting to get that modern life, but its just on a couple of pics I've seen, it may seem a little small.
It looks great though on your video and seems almost the same size as the stock HT head.

lol, I understand about the pose, I'm An@L myself about posing and usually spends hours trying to find
a good pose.
But maybe when you install Tony's cape, I most certainly would appreciate it if you can provide a pic with the
HT body. :)

Sorry, Remy.. I got sidetracked.. Happens to me far too easily. Here's the pic.

No worries man.

Oh wow, they are pretty much in scale.
Thank you so much man for the pics.
That definitely answers my question.
I'm gonna go ahead and order one.

Thanks again Ryno. :1-1:

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

do you guys think they'll let doomsday look similar to this if they were to put him in the new MOS movies?

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

Crazy Hulk mod! Who made that Doomsday and where can I get one? I doubt I'll see a Hot Toys version for years.

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

Terrific custom. I would almost guarantee it we'll see Doomsday from Hot Toys if he's in the next movie. But I doubt if he's going to be.

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

ready for my tony cape lol...shoulder mod done...pretty easy id say! just need to find out exactly what kinda paint to use on collar and gauntlets....suggestions welcome...

Nice. Yeah it's not too bad the mod. It's just a matter of getting over the fear off tearing the suit when you separate the glue . I sent you a PM on the kind of paint I used on mine.

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

My Clark on the t00b. The pose is kind of crappy now that I look at it.. but you get the idea, lol.

Great video Ryno but I disagree with why you think the sculpt is off. Hot Toys one is the one with the wrong shaped jaw, that was it's major flaw that is was too round, wide and not chiseled like Cavill's is.This is one of the strengths of the modern life sculpt and the Sideshow PF because Cavill's jaw is chiseled like in the pic below.

The main problem with the modern life sculpt is that it has a long face.

I think Hot Toys sculpt captures the core likeness of Cavill such as the inner features like eyes, nose, mouth, face is more symmetrical and proportionate and has a prominent chin, thus, it is better than the modern life sculpt but the jaw shape is totally wrong.

I think cavill's chiselled jaws are photoshopped in some pics, giving a superhero look with the wide jaw. His abs arent so pronounced when he wasnt wearing any top, but looks protruding when hes wearing he suit. Seems like there are ab plates inside the suit.

That maybe the case in some shots but his jaw is still chiseled, which is one reason why they picked him play Superman because he looks the part. In any event, his jaw shape is nothing like Hot Toys one. Hot Toys one's jaw looks soft looking and not masculine looking like a man's jaw but rather like a boy's jaw.

That is awesome Barry! Please email me the price for one of these. I would love to have one of these in my display.

That original was a test by my friend Matt who owns a laser engraving machine. All i did was make up a template guide for him. He did all the work.
He's going to redo the underside piece behind the main shield detail in a higher definition

Wow, Barry, definitely interested in one or two! Great job! :clap

Thanks a lot. I will post a "for sale" thread when i get these in and they are modified for a stand/moulded. And i shall post here when it's ready to rock and roll.

When he got as maxed out as he was going to get)Early on in the shoot), they too moulds of his physique. When he started training down, they used those moulded muscles to make sure that everytime he was in the suit he still had the "same size muscles" as when he had his shirt off when he came ashore in Canada early in the movie.

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

Im not sure when he was bulking and when he was cutting, but I assumed the shirtless scenes were probably Cavill's physique at its finest. He's bulky, but he's no where as shredded as when he's in costume.

Most of the interview claim that he was around 5% body fat, but it seems like he's at 10-11% bf as the abs isn't as visible as bodybuilders when they are competing (which is usually around 3-5% bf).

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

Does any one know of any adverse effects from storing figures in cold storage? Like possibly below freezing? I'm sure it can't be good but does anyone have experience in this matter?

I've got most of my figs boxed in Rubbermaid bins in my outside shed but the last few days have been below freezing here. Just worried about my figs.
