Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure
Too risky on something so expensive I feel, what happens down the line if you've to sell it or move it on.

what happens? i'd assume if you do it right (which a retarded monkey could do this mod if you take your time) it would be worth more money! seeing as the masses have agreed that once the mod is done, it totally transforms this thing to such a higher level...
i look at mine (before and after the mod) the unmodded pix look silly with the puffy cape and bloated shoulders. the modded version with the right camera looks like it literally came off the movie screen or a real person.
like with everything, its to each his own and we all have our opinions... and mine is with the majority that this thing goes from great to amazing w/ the cape mod. and its like the masses have said... it ain't rocket science or risky to do this mod if u have 1/2 a brain and go slow. don't go pulling and yanking... just go slow and easy and you can feel everything that needs tweaked to get it apart w/o damaging anything.
i think something that scares people off is the look of things after you disassemble... all the pics we see, it looks like it rips and tears etc when you take it apart. the holes and the look of tears in the suit after its taken apart looks like it happens from pulling it apart, but in fact is exactly how it looks under the fake plastic shoulder pieces. the holes and ripped look is how it is stock out of the box. the cape and the fake shoulder cover all that stuff. if you simply snip the 3 pieces of string that hold the cape down and lift up the cape, you'll see how silly it looks under the cape stock right out the box with the fake shoulder piece covering it up.
hey if your happy with the stock look then no big worry and have fun... but if you like the look and are afraid... don't be. fear causes hesitation.... and hesitation causes your worst fears to come true! lol
buy these things to enjoy and screw around w/... not to buy as an investment. sure they hold value, but if u want your money down the road, put it in the bank!
