I got my supes yesterday and wow what an amaizing figure.

Tonymeis cloak really does make him an even more impressive and only takes 10 or so mins to do.

Funny how good the 1978 suit still looks great in 2014. Love that pose.

Ive been asked a few times how i got my stock cape to pose the way i do , i did mention it in other videos ive done on this figure but i thoughts id dedicate a video to help those who dont want to exchange the stock cape for one of Tony's cape . Please subscribe , like and comment on this video if it helps , also please share so i dont have to keep answering the same questions . thanks to all those who support my channel and work . rick :O)

I think it's .75 mm aluminium wire , tested by NASA to withstand 15megaton blast or cosmic rays and impervious to gamma radiation. But luckily you can get it from your local hobby craft shop for about £2.50

Hey guys, I've gotten Tony Mei's fantastic Superman cape, but sadly due to financial reasons I will not be buying any hot toys figures, including Superman.

So if anybody still wants his cape, I might as well sell it on as I've no use for it in hindsight.
It's unused and never taken out of the packaging it came with. Tony Mei gave me his permission to resell it and I ask exactly his price. Shipping will be dependent on where I have to ship it too, but I won't let it go higher than what Tony asks. However if shipping is less, I will charge whatever it is. (I'm from the EU.)

I'm not sure if Tony still makes them, but I recall he was going to stop at some point, so if you're to late to get one from him, I have one left for you. PM me if interested.

For the record, the sole reason I'm selling it is my personal finances and hobby interests. I remain of the opinion Tony makes fantastic stuff.

EDIT: Cape sold.

Dunno, but I will never go over what Tony asks in fairness to the buyer, even if it would cost me more than 11 dollars (which is his standard price). But if you want to know specifically, I'd have to check my postal service. But I think it's gonna be less than 11 dollars because it's within the EU and it's a very light letter-package.

If you're truly interested best to handle it via PM, I don't wanna derail or annoy people on the main thread, and I also think it's not completely allowed to sell in non-selling threads either.

Do you want me to check specifically? I'll PM you the amount in that case.:)

Cool mod.
So you have kept the original cape but removed the inner plastic part and lowered the cape plastic part?
Did you removed the stock cape to do both things?
Thanks

No I never peeled the stock cape off , it's was always attached I just worked around it. I do also love how Tonys capes look but a lot of people don't seem to be able to get the pleats looking neat over his shoulders which is why I left mine connected

Did any of you guys accomplish to display him in a completely relaxed pose? I always end up with him looking like he just drew in a deep breath. I can't seem to get his upper body to look relaxed. I think this is due to his big shoulder and upper arm muscles and partly due to the neck/shoulder (haven't done the neck mod yet)

I was thinking something kind of like this:

Looking at the picture of Cavill, man he is buffed. Interesting how accurate the HT muscular body is...
So, any input on how to do a relaxed pose, typicall invincible-superman-doesn't-care-pose?

Has anyone found a way to make a post that can screw into the base for this figure? I want to have him in a standing pose but I'd like to have him supported while standing and I can't seem to configure the bendable post to support him. I had him free-standing without any support and when I close the door to my detolf he keeps falling over. I really want to keep the logo stand in there because it adds so much to the figure so if anyone could help I'd appreciate it. If there's not a way than I'll just have to purchased one of the plain black stands for support instead. Thanks!
