This looks great Agen, but what about adding a lil to the edge of shoulders and taking just a smidgen more off the thighs? I think that would make the body perfect.

Re: Hot Toys MMS200 - Man of Steel: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Just a thought, but I think if people are already pre ordering this now might send a message to Hot Toys that they will not bother making changes to the body because it looks like to them at least that the customer will buy this no matter what body they give them :dunno (even though I know this is not the case, since people are hoping they change it by next year).
Look how many people were complaining about Bane. Now it seems like since he's been released he's a favorite. Just because a prototype picture doesn't look the best doesn't matter much since it's not the final product.

Re: Hot Toys MMS200 - Man of Steel: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

i'll definitely be waiting for in hand pics on whether I buy the complete figure or just buy parts. I hope that they do adjust the body or that it's just the photography/lighting, but I highly doubt it. I also doubt they will change it. I'm sure it's in fast production mode as to cash in quickly.

So you think they will change the body then? Or are you saying the body is fine the way it is and it just doesn't look good in pics? :huh

Yeah I am not pre ordering it either and will be waiting for in hand pics to. I also agree that is doubtful that they will change the body but one can only hope.

It is such a shame because the head sculpt is fantastic! :(

I've stated already it could use adjustments but a) it's a prototype and b) the figure has until early 2014 before it's released. That's plenty of time for changes to the final product to be made.

Re: Hot Toys MMS200 - Man of Steel: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

I wonder which armour they will go with.

I would buy Zod even in the undersuit version with the shackles.... but would much prefer the full armor.

Its like HT giving us handcuffs and a muzzle with Loki. OK, some people might like that.... but I prefer to display my alien demigods in full-power mode. I want to be awed by their awesomeness, not see them defeated.

They also have other figures that are coming out around the same time as next year. So just because they have plenty of time means nothing but I guess they could change it as anything is possible.

Hot Toys Bane might be a favorite but I see no difference in the body shape compared to the prototype. Correct me if I am wrong.

Just PO'd locally for $175. :yess:
Looks a bit fatter than it should be, but I'm liking the suit, and the headsculpt seems perfect for 1:6. :clap

My whole point is these things are subject to change. It says it right on the order page. Plus a lot of times the figures look better in hand than in pictures. I just think people are flipping out over nothing. If it actually releases and looks that way fine, but for now I'm giving Hot Toys the benefit of the doubt. I could see it being one thing if Hot Toys consistently released poor products but they really seem to have more hits than misses judging by what I have or have seen or see reviews of.

Re: Hot Toys MMS200 - Man of Steel: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

With so many ordering on the basis that they'll most likely change it for release, i can't help but think why would they?

It's the whole voting with your wallet principle, if it wasn't being ordered much they'd change it but with it getting lots of orders they don't have an incentive to do so

I see your point, IMO I doubt they will change anything but like you said it is early days yet and probably should give Hot Toys the benefit of the doubt that they might. You are right about all that other stuff to more hits than misses. ;)

That's pretty much what I implied few pages back. :(

However, maybe they care about their products and want to produce most accurate Man of Steel ever! Regardless if people are buying it maybe they want to please their customers as well. :dunno

Re: Hot Toys MMS200 - Man of Steel: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Well, loved the movie, ordered the figure.

Hoping that the outfit doesn't end up being some oil-based acrylic something-or-other that starts dissolving/cracking while on display within a year of having it....

Wishing that...it came with a "regular" stand too....and a stand that would allow/support the figure to look like he's floating...

Anyway...we'll see in about 9 months or so...now bring on Jor-El!

Maybe they can get him on the thigh master. HT has been known to make changes in the past, so let's hope enough fans let their voices be heard.
