Re: Hot Toys MMS200 - Man of Steel: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

I don't know much about the types of bodies out there, but assuming HT does not change anything, would he be able to be swapped out to a different base body or would the outfit prevent this?

I would hate to buy a separate body after ordering a $200 figure, but if HT does not change anything, I may be forced to as I really enjoyed this figure and would love to have him in the collection.

I'm in the UK so don't order from SS unless I have no other option. For most of my Hot Toys orders I go with Model Zone but for some reason none of the UK retailers have this up for pre order??? Anyone know the reason for this? :S

Swapping out the body would be a pain in a$$ depending on where the seams are on the suit. Unless you decide to say screw it and slice right up the back and sew it back together since the cape would cover the newly made seam

There's no waist seam like Superman Returns, so i am just guessing that there will be a zip like the Reeve Superman.
How else would they get it on?

There's not zipper on the Spider-Man figures...how'd they get those on? :lol or is there a waist seam for those? I don't own one

Sewn on like Spider-Man suits.

Re: Hot Toys MMS200 - Man of Steel: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

the sewn-on would be a concern for me as I'm no 1/6 uber custom pro like so many on here.

Re: Hot Toys MMS200 - Man of Steel: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

I have no info about it either way, but if there's a zip, it would just be easier.
Just saying.
It would have to be sown up the back where a zip would be anyway, so why not just put in a zip?

Re: Hot Toys MMS200 - Man of Steel: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Something tells me it won't be removable. It'll probably be sewn in the back so unless you're ready for heavy customizing...

But don't sweat too much. Pretty sure the final body won't have the thunder thighs.:)

But you won't be able to put his arms down by his side :dunno

That really annoys me, looks so unnatural :(

Real life Cavill couldn't even put his arms down by his sides, to be fair.

Re: Hot Toys MMS200 - Man of Steel: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Regardless if you could change it, you would have a lot of excess slack of the suit so that would require major cutting and reglueing to fit to the slimmer body

It wouldn't have to be sewn up the back. Could be sewn at the sides like the Returns suit. Either way, the "rubber" pieces are most likely going to be covering up the seams anyway. But like 16k has said, I'm pretty sure the body will be fixed . The DX10 body was fixed before release though the proto used the previous terminator body. The specs for that also said "newly developed muscle body" just like this one says so I'm sure the body right now (which looks like the DX10 body) will be hanged to to one just for this figure

For anyone trying to figure out who Clark was imitating during the scene in MOS when Johnathan Kent saw young Clark with a red towel this may help.

Warrior Angel was the childhood hero comic for Lex and Clark in the show Smallville. Perhaps they rehashed that idea.
