Re: Hot Toys MMS200 - Man of Steel: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Since we're talking about the movie, did you guys notice:

how Zod's ship brought some meteor/chunks of planet Krypton along with it when it "jumps" to earth's orbit? Kryptonite, I reckon. Which makes the Metallo storyline from 52 possible for the second movie.

No. That isn't the case.

They didn't come from Krypton.
They spent 30 years exploring Kryptonian outposts, only coming to earth when Clark activated the seed ship...

Ah, thanks for clearing that up. Looks like I need to watch the movie again LOL

The part where you see a bunch of objects crashing through the atmosphere was the Wayne Industries Satellite when Zod and Superman are fighting.

Re: Hot Toys MMS200 - Man of Steel: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

My predictions if they make MOS as a trilogy:
2nd movie - Luthor
3rd movie - Doomsday

I think Luthor would be cool but I'm hoping there will be someone else as we'll. With these movies it's become common to have two villains. If they want to have a theme as all movies maybe they would do something like the original movies and take away his powers so he has to fend as a human for a little bit. So maybe the secondary villain would be the Parasite. But I think Luthor and Brainiac would be great.

Re: Hot Toys MMS200 - Man of Steel: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Luthor and Parasite would be a great 2nd film tandem. Doomsday and Darkseid shouldnbe saved for later films or for JL.

Re: Hot Toys MMS200 - Man of Steel: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Honesty after tdkr I'm glad Nolan didnt do this one. At least I didn't have to be looking for my shoulder for the next big twist. It's becoming a little played out. Also I read somewhere where Nolan said "after everything I put into that superhero movie, I'm the last person you'd want to do another one." Sounds like he knew he didn't have much more to offer, and his story may have ended up worse, who knows?

I dunno how serious you are about that, but I am, and thats exactly what I thought as soon as I left the Theater

Lex should be in the second movie, there are reasons for people to hate Superman and Lex can lead that, he could get Zod's armor and built something..

And for the tirth Doomsday, Kal's worst enemy imho

BTW unlike other people I'm gald that Superman was able to behave like a man and kill Zod, of course the General is a great character and is a shame that we lost him but it had to be done, I'm tired of the childish heroes that can't kill because of a misplaced sense of self-righteousness (Tdkr fixed that too) but from now on I don't think they should kill the enemies as soon as they show up, Lex and Doomsday should last longer

Re: Hot Toys MMS200 - Man of Steel: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

the 3rd superman film with doomsday leading to JL with darkseid

Man, every time i hear some one mention something about a JL movie i cringe. I'm not being negative intentionally but just the fact that their have been talks of a JL movie in 2-3 years from now, it scares the crap out of me. DC has barely even spotlighted any of their major superheroes besides Batman and Superman. Green Lantern was a bust and I'm sure most have chosen to forget it ever existed. I have been praying for a Flash movie for a decade now but i doubt that's ever gonna happen. Wonder Woman can't even get picked by local TV channels, so any hopes of a big screen treatment seems unlikely.

To be fair, Marvel have done is one way, IM, Hulk, Thor, Captain America, leaving up to Avengers.
It may be that DC is doing it another way. Man Of Steel, Justice League, then have separate movies for the characters.
You never know. It could happen.

That's the main reason i am frightened for this movie if DC chooses to jump straight to a JL movie. The average movie goer most likely would be lost while watching a JL movie due to the fact that besides Supes an Bats, nobody else is recognizable. Even story wise, what sort of great evil would cause a team comprised of Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Flash, and Martian man-hunter to team up. Personally, this roster alone without the Batman is virtually unbeatable. Superman and Wonder Woman alone can beat any DC villain.

How well would that work though? With them wanting to have a new Batman, right now the only established character is Henry as Superman.
Is it really rise of them to go straight into a JL film with a new Batman, Wonderwoman, Green Lantern, Flash and whoever else they'll use?
It's like making the Avengers movie without ever having made a Thor, Captain America, Hulk and Iron Man 2 movie. People would be beyond skeptical on how well the new actors/actress will be in a team up movie without seeing a stand alone film for each character.

I think it's better for them to first make movies for Wonderwoman, Flash and maybe one more JL member before tackling a JL film. With Man of Steel out and doing generally well, they need to hurry up and build up upon this and move forward with it.

I often think that in the comics. Superman is so uber-powerful that only a kryptonite-wielding/powered foe, Darkseid, or Doomsday can ever pose a threat to him.
And with him on the case, there usually seems little need of the others(Of course, GL is part of the galaxy police, so he's dealing with other things), but between Superman and Batman, they should be able to deal with most things.
Oh, how i'd like a Worlds Finest movie with Cavill and JGL, both in the nolanverse.

I know what you're saying.
I am not saying that i agree with a JL movie before standalones.
Just that it could happen that way.
I'll welcome any big screen versions of the Justice League, alone or in the group, especially if they leave that idiot Reynolds out of it.

Even though i prefer the Nolanverse to be left alone, a World's Finest movie with Cavill and Bale would have been cool. When i really think about it, it sucks that a Batman movie came out last year while a Superman movie came out this year and both films are not set in the same universe.

Customer: 'they will change the body so i placed my order.

Hot Toys: 'pre-order numbers are off the charts, customers obviously love it, no need to change anything'.

:lol :lol

Re: Hot Toys MMS200 - Man of Steel: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Just saw the movie last night and thought it was really good. I'll probably end up getting this, but where is everyone getting it for quite less than MSRP? I would preorder if I could find it for $165.
