I need to preorder this figure soon. It seems like all the civil war figures going to wait list quick. I have mk 46 at bbts so I'm good there. And besides that I only really want this and black Panther

i wonder what's taking buck so long to be released. he seems like the easiest to produce out of the wave

Got tired of waiting for this to come out so I did an experiment and it worked beautifully. Debating if I need to pick this up now.

Longing, rusted, furnace, daybreak, seventeen, benign, nine, homecoming, one, freight car

I preordered this BP is next. BBTS cancelled all my preorders I was window shopping they sent me a scathing letter about how I was effin up their rotation for letting some of my orders go to cancellation. Lesson learned when I'm serious I get it from SS get the 5%

Also I might have to stop collecting as I spend more time trying to convince my self I'm not breaking the second commandment then I do enjoying the hobby.

Wait, what was their complaint?

BBTS said letting my orders go to cancellation caused them to have over stock it would have been nice if they sent me an email heads up so I could adjust but they dumped all my preorders and told me to go to hell when I asked if I could get any back

I dont get what you were doing. What do you mean letting the preorders go to cancellation? Is that different than preordering than cancelling the preorder before the stock comes in?

I just got into collecting a year ago I let like three orders go to cancellation meaning they gave me like 10 days to pay it and I couldn't so it "defaulted" I think is the word...

I thought the worst that would happen is someone else would snatch it up they said no it causes overstock

Moral of the story is don't preorder unless you are gonna buy it I don't know about cancellation before stock comes in but BBTS doesn't like me.

I personally don't blame them for being cross with you. It's shenanegans like that that will make them start collecting nrd upon pre order. Don't be 'that' guy.

Live and Learn man

They should show this in their preorder policies I felt like they were being punitive dumpin all my preorders without an email I had to call them and would have been more than compliant if I understood overstock was a thing new collector this was a harsh way to learn without a warning real unprofessional they could have blocked my account but to turn my orders over to some shmuck who might be doing the same thing

I mean whatever ...rant over

Well, maybe not because of the new chrome arm. And a portrait face that needs to be as good as the proto. I'm still mad about the differences in TFA Finn from the proto. I really wanted Finn to go with Rey, and now i won't get him at all unless there is a super sale.

And I'm waiting on CW Falcon too.

And you are honestly ... angry at them for cancelling your remaining orders? Other shops ban you as soon as you fail to pay ONE order ....
I thought it was understood that if you preorder something, you commit to pay for that item when the invoice is due and in the very unfortunate case that you can't pay for your preorder, you at least let the shop know and politely ask them to cancel your preorder as soon as you know you won't be able to pay. I don't blame the shop for cancelling all your other preorders. I would have cancelled all your preorders and banned you after the 1st order was left unpaid.

Aaaanyway~~~ damn, I wish we'd finally get the release info for Buck .. :gah: I am so sick of waiting!

Doesn't BBTS automatically charge you when the item is available? One thing I do wish they did was send an email when it is about to be released, just as a heads up, sometimes I do forget when an item's estimated ship date period is and I want to make sure I don't spend too much on other things. They've always been great, never cancelled on them, their customer service has always been helpful. BBTS and Alter Ego are soon going to be my go-to ordering sites, with the occasional Sideshow exclusive and Popcultcha discounts. Just tired of Sideshow's customer service attitude.

But there have been complaints re BBTS too. I am giving them a try w. ASMUS' Thranduil, and yeah, I'd like some notice that the card is going to be charged.

I hear what folks are saying about POs but honestly, depending, I thought BBTS sounded a bit harsh. In that, BBTS, SSC etc. apparently put in orders for a set number of figures, and if someone doesn't pay, they just sell it to someone else. I mean, those orders are put in BEFORE anyone is even able to PO, so how does their inventory get affected w. something having to sit on a shelf a bit longer? If a store orders five things, it has space for five things, and those five things will sit in a warehouse until they're sold. It's not like commissioning work and then refusing to pay. The store was ordering five things anyway. That's what stores do.

Otherwise POs would never sell out, because the store would just turn around and order more things, matching the PO orders. Customers get cut off anyway for "too many returns" and like that.

I think when you order from BBTS you're required to enter a credit card number - which is then automatically charged when the items comes in stock (I don't think they hit your card to confirm that it's still valid when you order). The fact that they had to request payment makes it seem like the payment info that was provided was invalid. Which probably means it was invalid for all the pre-orders. In which case, I can definitely see why they cancelled everything. They gave him ten days to pay for the items and I'm assuming that during those ten days he never informed them he didn't intend to pay - which probably made it even worse in their eyes.

I wish they would notify you as well when they are about to charge your card. I had a situation where I had forgotten that I had pre-ordered something from them and ended up ordering from somewhere else as well. As soon as I got order confirmation from them, I gave them a call and asked if I could cancel. They were nice about it and cancelled the order and refunded me with no issues.

Honestly guys, I don't even get why it matters which reason BBTS gave for cancelling the preorders. Maybe it was the inventory, maybe they just didn't wanna outright say "you failed to pay 3 preorders and we don't wanna do business with you anymore". It's not just about customers. Shops plan too. They order enough stock, sometimes only as much as they got preorders, and they can expect their customers to pay. Just coz they can sell the preorder to someone else in case a customer doesn't pay, doesn't mean it's okay to ignore invoices. What kinda behaviour is that? *shakes head*

Yes, it sucks if they charge your card without notifying you first but that's how many shops work. GSC charges you 2 weeks in advance and then still have the nerve to delay the release for months.

If you cancel preorders that's fine, but having them cancelled due to non payment is really bad. Businesses will not want to deal with customers with a record of non payments.
