That’s just rubbish though. A few white guys won’t take away from that amazing cast of colour. People are just being petty. I mean, please, Bucky being part of that movie doesn’t mean he’ll jump in and save the day coz T’Challa couldn’t handle it. There’s nothing wrong with him doing a bit of ***-kicking too. Like … if Wakanda was infiltrated by a third party or if those inside not too happy with T’Challa as king, it could be a safety measure for T’Challa not to have the Winter Soldier frozen on a silver platter but to get him out for the time being. I mean, it’s not like the rest of the world isn’t still looking for Bucky. I imagine, if the other nations found out Wakanda (T’Challa) was hiding him, they wouldn’t be too pleased and it would be very troublesome for Wakanda. And if you wanna get rid of the new king, make others do your work. What’s best than to have other nations and citizens after him coz despite him signing the accords, he was the one to hide a wanted former assassin (and aid the rest of Team Cap who are now also fugitives). Also anyone inside Wakanda who’d think less progressively and more in terms like “Wakanda shouldn’t mingle with the rest” wouldn’t like Bucky being there. Just coz T’Challa is the new king doesn’t mean people are fine with that. They might have respected his father but that’s no guarantee they’ll respect T’Challa too. Seriously, ignoring Bucky in that movie would be very odd coz the sole fact that he’s there means a lot of trouble and complications for T’Challa.

And let’s not forget the official synopsis for Black Panther:
"After the events of Marvel's Captain America: Civil War, King T'Challa returns home to the reclusive, technologically advanced African nation of Wakanda to serve as his country's new leader. However, T'Challa soon finds that he is challenged for the throne from factions within his own country. When two foes conspire to destroy Wakanda, the hero known as Black Panther must team up with C.I.A. agent Everett K. Ross and members of the Dora Milaje, Wakanadan special forces, to prevent Wakanda from being dragged into a world war."

So one white guy is already in the team-up. I don’t see any reason why Bucky shouldn’t at least snipe someone or try to lend a hand (lol sorry Buck).

I read an essay re BP (which actually was pretty good IMO) that there is a feeling with some that (possibly) with too much Winter Soldier showing up in BP - especially if he were to help T'Challa out - that basically it would be once again re movies "white hero male saves the day".
Those guys must be thrilled about Ross then. :lol They're probably having a prayer circle now that Ross won't be the one saving the day. :lol

IMO very very well said :clap:clap:clap and completely agree. And I'd add that any "storyteller" which I think directors are - for bad or good - ought to be able to work with their writers and tell a story THEIR way - but IMO a story ought to flow "naturally". E.g. not be forcibly cast or certain things shoehorned in just to be PC.

So the MCU has different threads of a bigger story going on (Dr. Strange, Thor, Guardians etc.) but BP and Spiderman are picking up where CW left off (RDJ still has bruises) so IMO it's kind of a big elephant in the room re Bucky (and maybe Cap). 'Coz one of the last things we see in CW is Bucky being frozen and T'Challa pretty well throwing down the gauntlet to the rest of the world.:horror

So for me it's like "and then what happens????!!!!!" Don't think all of BP should revolve around WS 'coz T'Challa's got a lot on his plate being a new king, but IMO we ought to see some minutes of T'Challa's scientists/doctors dealing w. Bucky. Because, too, I think it's a big thing that CAPTAIN AMERICA!!! - has TRUSTED his BEST FRIEND that he LOVES and is his last tie to his old life - someone CAPTAIN AMERICA blew the whole world off for - has placed his friend in T'Challa's care and protection. It's about HONOR and what's truly right "I was wrong about you...the whole world was wrong about you..."

Besides, movies aren't all that long; e.g. I'd rather see Bucky up and around in BP so enough film minutes can be given to Bucky woken up and dealing w. his fractured/healed mind and some interaction w. T'Challa would be nice. Because IW seems STUFFED with characters and so on. E.g. if Bucky is up and around in BP, he could just, storywise, get down to business in IW.

But that's just me. Fav or not, I'm gonna be irritated if IMO such a big plot point in CW (and IMO to me one of the more interesting ones e.g. Bucky's arm; who he is now; is he healed in Wakanda or will he truly need Tony Stark technology, etc.) gets the 30-second treatment or some cursory dialogue.:(

Besides, IMO, big-budget movies aren't made with just the U.S. in mind any more. All the studios look to the "foreign" markets so IMO you can't tailor these kinds of movies just to U.S. audiences and U.S. social issues. But. There's no saying that WILL happen:dunno. Lots of secrecy around BP and IW and Sebastian Stan was in Atlanta filming another movie when BP was being filmed. So it's not like they couldn't have done a few scenes with him.

Those guys must be thrilled about Ross then. :lol They're probably having a prayer circle now that Ross won't be the one saving the day. :lol

:rotfl:rotfl:rotfl LOL!!! *Cough*. I suspect it's more about the perception of good ol' testosterone/stereotype movie heroes and like that. E.g. T'Challa is a Wakanda hero figure; a king, a warrior, tall, dark, and handsome. BADASS. It's supposed to be HIS movie. So T'Challa's movie - apparently with SOME folks - isn't supposed to get cluttered up with additional foreign (non-Wakanda/African) tall, dark and handsome BADASSES. Not that Ross isn't a BADASS (loved him in CW) but it's not the same as the tall, dark, and handsome knife-wielding, butt-kicking WS or someone like Cap sharing a lot of screen time. Ross is a bureaucrat - so far, anyway.

Don't agree because audiences IMO aren't stupid and make favorites of who THEY want, and T'Challa has been a real success in his own right.

Can you put the blacked eyes headsculpt from first figure on this figure just bought this one but wouldn't like to purchase the other headsculptn

Well, I switched bodies of CW and WS. Think it's the same body except the arm.

Hoping to root my WS head soon. For now he wait with Cap.

Unless he uses the mask for stealth purposes, I doubt we'll ever see it or anything like it again - why would someone want to return to wearing a mask forced on you by your abuser?

I got a custom "hairy" Buck head from Evilbay a few weeks ago (the one with a separate mask) and geeez....this head is hideous.. Before Civil War WS it was listed everywhere at $50-$70, I got it at $37 with shipping. Who would pay up to $70 for that garbage? I would be really pissed if I could pay this amount and receive such a poor quality head. Promo photos look ok, but differ tremendously compare to the original product. His hair (scalp) was glued with a superglue....[emoji43]it came off so easily....

Maybe he will be concerned with his health and wear it....lol, for "protective purposes"; he spent so much time in his cryo sleep and maybe his basic needs (like normal breathing) won't be ever normal again. I was wondering if movie masterminds could pull it out.....[emoji41][emoji40][emoji848]

Well, IMO, not the SAME mask. But I could see a storyline where (possibly) in an urban environment if a lot of buildings were destroyed by Thanos, or even alien weapons kicking dust up - there'd be a lot of dust/poisons/smoke in the air. Maybe use goggles too. IMO a trained sniper would know better than to let anything distract their aim.

LOL wonder if you got the same as I have....well, I'll see what the hopefully incoming ones look like. One of them IS a parted-out HT so that one should be OK (hope). The worst ones I have are good custom practice and I need to do some *cheap* Special Forces guys anyway in time. Those guys are so covered w. helmets, goggles etc. doesn't matter what head is there. Not that I have money to just blow:(, but learning fast re the 'bay and customs sometimes I'm real impressed, and other times not so much. For accessories too.

I'll never understand why people want Bucky to wear the muzzle again. I know it looked cool on him as the Winter Soldier but this thing is so ****ing disturbing when you consider what it was supposed to do. The only thing it was good for and meant to do was to hide his identity and mostly to keep him quiet. Seb even said it was horrible to wear and not so easy to breathe with.

If he ever wears a mask like that again that would be like a slave putting his shackles back on. :nono

I've got to agree with TrashCat here, I don't think we will see the mask again, even though it was so damn cool!!!! :rock2

Maybe it'll show his arm being repaired

That's a great thought! I can see that occurring in the film before he is unleashed again (with his mind intact of course & simply because he wants to help, not forced, as in the past).

Agreed, it was a great look for "Winter" and achieved what Hydra wanted it to - make him look imposing while hiding his identity and keeping him in check, but if post-Winter Soldier Bucky ever wore that mask again, as the man he is now, free of Hydra, and not in flashbacks - it would be disturbing of the highest order.
