Consider the Burton Batman films, then consider this - and tell me they're not doing something "fresh"? The truth is, no matter what they do some people will complain.

S.S. has its faults, some of them glaring and yet it was still far more compelling than Batman vs Superman. At least, to me.

for the record, I love the Burton Batman films, yet there is still room in my heart for something new.

The Burton films paved the way for superhero movies. You cant judge suicide squad to that standard, you have to use films like spiderman 2, batman begins and tdk to see where the bar has been set, or guardians of the galaxy when you look at the whole anti hero thing. The Burton films are enjoyable because of the nostalgia and art direction. Suicide squad got nothing to the style of Burton. It's just trying far to hard to be edgy instead of just being edgy. DC needs to find its own style and flow, instead of trying to keep up with marvel, who themselves have had a few bombs quality wise as well. Iron Man 2 and 3 come to mind.. And whoever designed this new joker is still an ***** for messing with something iconic. There's a reason darth vader hasn't had any new outfits in his history. It's iconic. Same goes for joker and spiderman imo. Classics. No need for change when you get it right the first time. 😎

So it seems the HT joker or Jokers won't have the dragon tattoo on their back.

But they were ok with Damaged across the forehead? That's stupid.

Wow! It's so hard to decide which one I want. I want the head and coat from this but the head and pants from AA and the silver coat outfit.

Seen the movie on the big screen, seen multiple screenshots on the computer of that exact moment, and I'm still not seeing what you're seeing. :dunno

It's pretty hard to catch, it's a bit faded, and the only way to see it is through a tear in his shirt.

There's some tattoo there. Or at least I think there is. :lol

So it's accurate then because Leto's Joker doesn't have a back tattoo in the film:

Perhaps it was a scene where he would not be showing his back? I could understand that, because no doubt the successful application of such decals or paint or whatever they use, is a cost-intensive process.

Maybe WB is not sure about Joker having a back tattoo anymore. Interestingly, I've only seen two merchandise items with the tattoo, and one of them, the DCC statue might not have it either when they release it.

The dragon doesn't really fit with the other tattoos or his persona. It's a nice reference or tribute to Jim Lee's joker, but other than fan service, it doesn't really fit with the character, imo. I don't even know why Joker had a dragon tattoo in All Star to begin with?

What's the justification/history of the dragon tattoo? What's the back story?
