SS might have been a failure for the Critics (what movie isn't these days) but it hit hard with a lot of fans.

Hence why it made 750mil and they announced the sequel, plus 2 spin-off's, we're gonna be getting those HT's. :lol

Except box office and quality have no correlation. You could say the same about the Transformers movies and, while the first one was pretty decent, I've personally never met someone who can even sit all the way through any of the sequels much less actually thinks they are "good." A bad franchise that keeps getting movies because they make money.

On the other end, look at a movie like Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland, which grossed over a billion. They just made a sequel that completely flopped because people started to realize with time that the first one really wasn't all that good. The first of the new, mediocre TMNT movies was also a moderate success at the box office, yet the recent sequel tanked as well because a lot of the people that went to see the first one didn't actually enjoy it that much.

So yeah, SS made a lot of money, but will it be a Transformers situation that keeps going in spite of the quality, or will all the people who saw SS once and thought it was terrible just stay home for the sequel?

comparing SS to Transformers is wacky enough. It's part of an entire universe, not just a solo franchise. We'll be getting more DC HT's for sure. It sells, and has proven to sell.

Oh, I'm just saying that specifically for SS I'm not sure you can count on anything besides one more sequel because who knows how many people who saw the first would go see another. I know I probably won't. And have they even officially announced anything yet as far as a sequel?

From what I read a sequel is definitely happening and so is a solo harley film. I think everyone will see ss 2 because whether you thought it was awesome or thought it was average, it's still the best movie on the dc side currently. It would also have to be a lot better than the first one for people to want to see a third film, since the first had quite a few problems. Everyone will also see a harley solo film, thats a given.

Yes, SS2 was confirmed in development yesterday, along side with a Birds of Prey movie (Harely spinoof) and a Deadshot spinoff.

With Ayer confirmed to come back to direct Birds of Prey. I'd like to see Snyder take on SS2, with a different writer of course.

I would like to see them let Ayer or pretty much anyone have more than just 6 weeks to come up with a script.

yeah, same here. In fact I take that back, I'd like to see Ayer write it, and have someone else direct. He really is a great writer, he just needs more then a month and a half. :lol

Some of these solo movies they're planning will fizzle out. A solo Deadshot? That character was so damn forgettable. It was just Will Smith playing Will Smith.

Gotham City Sirens might be interesting depending on who plays Ivy and Catwoman.

Yeah come on, no one needs to see any more of Will Smith's Deadshot. As for SS2 I doubt anyone outside of you lot will bother with that.

Sounds good to me but that casting rumour of Megan Fox being Poison Ivy just makes me shiver... Her acting is subpar and even that is me being polite.

Margot Robbie should just play all the parts. I'd pay to see that. [emoji3]

Deadshot actually saves the film for me and I'm really not a Will Smith fan at all. I'd actually be interested in seeing him as the main villain in a Batman film as opposed to Deathstroke. There are actually a couple mini series based on Deadshot that make the character more interesting. Robbie as Harley to be honest I'm kind of over. Yeah she's sexy and all but truthfully I find her performance somewhat forgettable and don't always buy her in the role. Also I really don't care for how she did the voice. It's like she tried imitating the animated voice but it doesn't always work out. I know we'll be seeing a bunch more of her though given the popularity of both her and The Joker.

Funny you say that because much like Jack Nicholson, Morgan Freeman, and others.. Will Smith is really only good at playing Will Smith these days for the most part. Sure he has done some decent acting recently such as 'Concussion', but Will Smith is his bread and butter. And Deadshot is Will Smith.
