Haha thank you! Yeah was a big fan of his since doom. I think he had the look for the “ not new but still working on skills “ type of batman. I mean **** he be perfect for an arkham origins. Would love to see Michael C Hall as the joker I mean com’on DEXTER nuff said hahaha

If recasting does happen, I'd be happy with Armie Hammer. Loved the chemistry he and Cavill had in The Man from UNCLE. And he's got the right height and build. Only thing is he's a lot younger than Affleck, but it's something I'm willing to look over.

He was also originally cast as Batman in the original JL film by George Miller that eventually got cancelled.
From what I understand, they already even had the costumes made including some of the production sets.

When George miller was supposed to do a JLA movie Arnie Hammer I think was in talks for Batman it was the ideal actor at the time for their batman.

That's right! I totally forgot about that! Supposedly it was just on the verge of being shot.

Regardless, he'd make a great younger version of Affleck's Batman. If rumors are true that Matt Reeves might be going for a Batman Prequel, I'd love for Armie Hammer to be cast. Forget all this Green Lantern casting! He'd be a perfect Batman. He's already got the chemistry with Cavill. And WB can milk more movies out of him since he's only in his 30s.

And personally I really don't need an in movie explanation for the younger age. Too much explaining and exposition in these movies are a headache. But if necessary, Flashpoint could make it a small plot point.

Bad news is that if Ben gets axed then we get a franchise reboot once again.
The good news is that this figure is going to hit the moon in value because which ever direction they go it will be a new costume to make more merch.

We will probably never see this look or anything close to it on screen again. Ever.

I can already see it, forget nipples on the next version of the costume.
We go full anatomically correct meat and two veg.

In the 90's Keaton was recast in a slight reboot but it was still the same franchise/timeline. I say slight because it was still the same universe with the same Alfred. Just a different director and art direction, etc.

And with the success of Wonder Woman, it wouldn't be a good move to reboot the entire franchise.

Not really. Ben never had a solo movie so he really could be recasted. Let’s face it, WB only went after Ben because they were getting a two-fer deal. An actor and director for a movie. Which Ben backing out as director pretty much leaves him on a chopping block ( only because of what’s happening now). I think if things get worse for Ben we’re going to see the batman solo movie get pushed back, and possibly some bs story of Ben dropping out.

You hit the nail on the head there. I really hope he doesn't get re-cast but the character will live on long after Affleck and all of us.

Let's hope it's not that bad. I was merely thinking worst case scenario. A lot of this seems to be BS, one of those videos was scripted, but the media will sense blood. Whatever Ben's level of culpability, IF he is seen to damage the JL box office I just don't see WB wanting him back.

Yeah, Batman will continue to exist long after we're gone. So whatever ends up happening with Ben, I'm just glad we got to see what he's done with it so far.

If there's anything the past has taught us, it's not to think these characters cannot be recast or redefined. IE Heath Ledger. Now I know that was within it's own franchise for TDK, but it can happen within a single franchise/timeline/universe whatever you want to call it.

Yep- if Ben is pulled from the JL press tour and such I think it's over for him. If he stays on and deals with the press there is hope- depends on what WB thinks..as for the solo film we have no idea what Reeves wants right now- all speculation

I hope he doesn't get recast. It would be awful - Because they've got a Gadot as Wonder Woman, and I'm sure the others will be great in their roles. I personally can't see a good way to replace him and keep everyone else.
