Thor looks awesome! if i were you id put a small bit of brown acrylic mixed with water and gently put it over the head to seperate the blonde a bit. but overall i like that sculpt and lighter hair

I actually did add a brown wash, I think a 2nd pass will do more justice.
I still have the original head. Just trying the custom lifestyle now. Lol

lol i hear ya man. its fun though right? anytime you can make a figure look like you want
i did a few different things with my thor hair as well. can be frustrating. but can always be redone

I gotta charge notice for next week on my SSC preorder, than add ship time to that. I probably will have seen the movie by the time it gets to me. Anyway at least SSC should have its first shipment "within 2 weeks" so guess arrival by mid-November at latest.
Fine by me. I don't want a bunch of POs stacking up re IW $$$$$$

The word "epic" gets thrown around a lot these days, but that is really cool to see. And helpful!
TDW is fast becoming my favorite sculpt.
Looks like RW has a darker beard than AoU? is that true?
And are the bare arms identical?
Any other little observations between them you can offer would be welcome.

The beard and hair are most certainly darker. I wondered when if I unboxed if it was the same sculpt for half a second. I much prefer the darker beard. Looks more Hemsworth Thor to me. Arms are the same. Hammers are the same, and you even get the effects. Even though I didn't put in the batteries I still currently have him holding the plastic. The other one looks better, but is much heaver.
I think RW is now my favourite Thor to date. If I had LA Thor, and just LA, AoU and RW and had to skip one, it would probably be AoU I would drop. IMO then you'd be taking the best features of all the Thors and combining them into two.. The only downside being rubber arms for posing, which as you can see the most elaborate pose I have is TDW. (in my normal display option I have Loki from the same movie mirroring him the same way).. Avengers, AoU and RW are all currently very basic, just a simple position or limb tweak on all of them.

Great display of Thor’s there! I’m just gonna have TDW (armored) and Road Worn versions. One of each look, armored and sleeveless.

@kiwi - nice lineup! From that pic and the recently released trailer with the shots in the field it's obvious this figure isn't super accurate as he should have the very light blond hair. However I agree that the darker hair looks better overall, looks more rugged I suppose.

Mine shipped too. And yeah I was just thinking how cool it is to get a figure from the movie before it even comes out rather than months or a year later. This is the second time for me, after the Death Trooper Specialist for Rogue One last year.

The button for early processing didn't seem to work re SSC. Which means pestering them. Which I will if I have to. Congrats on folks getting this in hand very soon. I need some time free to work with him anyway. Seems kinda fitting w. the movie coming out. Also glad he will be paid off 'coz I'm thinking I'll get Loki to go with him $$$

The Odinson hath arrived!! Here's a quick shot of him with a few of the lads I took on my way out.
Overall I'm super happy with him. The paint app on the leather boot straps is sub par -- physical wraps would have been much nicer and the molded straps have some paint bleed going on, but not too noticeable. The highlight for me is for sure the cape -- really well done, and some nice weathering. Be careful while futzing with it as I noticed his spiky hairs at the back will poke right through -- very nearly ripped it. The Surtur skull easily attaches with a magnet at the back, and is much nicer in person with more weight than I would have thought. I didn't realize this version came with a light up Mjölnir (yes, I copied and pasted that from wikipedia) as well as the diecast version, so that was a nice surprise. He's a keeper!

Having seen the movie, I believe this figure is going to jump up on people want list big style. The opening is great. I have mine on order now after last night.
