Re: Hot Toys - MMS4** - The Matrix Neo 1/6 scale collectible action figure

I didn't say I hated it. I've already illustrated why I think it's inferior numerous times. Go look it up.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS4** - The Matrix Neo 1/6 scale collectible action figure

It's a bit fuller than the actual Matrix movie look, but there is no question who it is supposed to be. It looks just like Keanu. And the rest of the figure and accessories are damn close. And those nice leather boots.

If you pass on this figure because of that nitpick, I think you will be passing on almost all 1/6 product.

Unless you are hung on $6000.00 Adam Jokers.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS4** - The Matrix Neo 1/6 scale collectible action figure

I ain't passing on it. My problem is weeb loyalists just utterly refuse to be critical of HT. Just bend over and open your *** for another lazy attempt that could of been worlds better.

Maybe I should cut them some slack. They've been doing Tony Stark for a decade now, and it still looks like RDJ's non-union Mexican equivalent.

Maybe she made the render?

Yeah that's what I would assume. I imagine their sculptors have become versed in 3D modeling.

Perhaps I should be clearer.

:
- Head Sculpted by Yulli
- Head Painted by JC. Hong & E-Lee
- Head 3D Designed by Da-Hye Kim
- Head Art Directed JC. Hong

Nothing wrong with being critical or going with the flow. But being in the game since Sideshow released Frankenstein, comes down to these companies, 98.2% of the time ignore the critiques. Sometimes changes can't be made once approved by the license holders. They make the item and put it out there.

At least 3A isn't doing him. :lol

That’s a buy for 235....

Remind me, can we use reward points for a P.O.?

It bugs me that criticism just seems unreasonable to some people. "It's a perfect likeness!" Is it? Is it really?

They did change the Wolf Predator mandibles when enough people whined. Although I doubt they give a **** enough to bother. It will sell regardless.

Yea there are some things here and there, which makes up the 1.8% :lol

Some just don't hold the 100% spot on head sculpt in that high of regard, instead the overall look of the figure and what it offers.

Yeah I have no shred of hope that it's going to be further changed. And if Ripley is any indication, it could only get worse.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS466 - The Matrix: Neo 1/6 scale collectible action figure

HT was also generous in giving Ripley a round ***.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS466 - The Matrix: Neo 1/6 scale collectible action figure

It's round? I passed on it. Weaver is built like a stick bug.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS4** - The Matrix Neo 1/6 scale collectible action figure

Very good :lol

So we get a reasonable cost here, but you'll get bare bones for $250.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS4** - The Matrix Neo 1/6 scale collectible action figure

Robert Downey Jr is small guy.

It's not about that, it's about scale. If it's a 1/6 scale figure, and the figure is over 12 1/2 inches, then that implies the character is 6'6".
Seems to me that a Hot Toys has been over-scaling a bunch of their figures over the last couple of years. Not that big a deal if they are displayed on separate shelves, I guess.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS466 - The Matrix: Neo 1/6 scale collectible action figure

It's always the same pattern. Some people like it, some don't, then there's endless posts comparing the doll with scenes from the films, custom dolls, and photoshopped pics, but most will PO the figure after all the complaining, just like everyone did with the SS Beetlejuice, even though it's a piece of ****. See you all in a year, when the final product comes out and you all think it looks awesome in hand, even though it's probably the same as the prototype :lol
