I actually don’t like John Wick....

Tried to watch it twice.......

Didn’t make it through either time.....pretty much a basic revenge flick.

On another note, I'm tempted to get one and put some black cloth over half of the head and put some gloved hands on for a Netlflix first suit Daredevil, although it won't be accurate and there's already third party parts available to create a potential custom but I'm admittedly a bit lazy to do so LOL

The first John Wick was awesome, as was the first Taken.

They wanted Will Smith too. That would've been horrible.

Also, had Brandon Lee not died, I think he would have played Neo.

One more thing, I sent the costume designer, Kym Barret a message asking her about the color of Smith suit. I'm sure she'll respond :lol

If she says black she’s a liar....

Black suits are pretty rare actually...most are charcoal grey..

Will Smith turned down the role of Neo when they wouldn't add more comedy. Sean Connery turned down the role of Morpheus. Thank God we didn't get the Wachowskis first choices for either character.

Yep. :lol

Connery said that he turned down the roles of Morpheus and Gandalf because he didn't understand the stories. As a result of each film's success he then accepted a role in A League of Extraordinary Gentlemen despite not understanding *that* film. Oops. It's no wonder that he retired shortly after, lol.

The Matrix I understand, but LOTR too complicated? That's old fashion fantasy and a very simple story. In fact, that story uses archetypes that most movies and literature uses, so that's hard to believe. He probably didn't want to go to New Zealand. :lol

I think he could have been a good Gandalf. Also, I think he should have played the old guy in the old Bond house in Skyfall.

I believe that was the intention, as the part was essentially written for him, but Connery declined. Citing his age and declining health, hanging around film sets for long periods of time, was no longer practical.

The Matrix works because, as in Star Wars, the actors weren't so "big" they overshadowed the role - though Connery could have lent an Alec Guinness-style gravitas to Morpheus.

That said, I have no complaint about Fishburne.
