I'm just flat out amazed that they were able to keep "the twist" under wraps all this time. Simply blown away. All of the lines and scenes of the Mandarin in the trailers, and Killian hardly shown. And not a word before the movie release in the US.

Can not believe it.

Even if someone told you the exact plot of the movie to your face... would you have believed it?

This wasn't like Luke... I am your father. This was like Luke... I am your son.

I hear you man, I cant believe nothing got out about it, though I did find it suspicious that there was no Mandarin merch coming from hasbro or any other companies

i dont consider lego to be anything other than garbage lol so i must have missed those. but for hasbro marvel has overtaken star wars as there main toy line, so to not see any mandarin related thing coming (except the cancelled legends fig, and again why cancel the main villain) it was just suspicious and now I know why :lol

Hasbro has always been about the armor variants. They only made Whiplash in later waves in IM 2. But yeah, a lack of a villain is a bid odd.

There were a couple of Lego sets with IM fighting The Mandarin.

I gotta feel bad for Lego on this. They really blew the IM sets. At least they did make a Killian. But I want to know where exactly they got that Ultimate Showdown set of Iron Man and the Mandarin from :lol Wasn't anything even remotely close to that. And a big mess up on using War Machine instead of Iron Patriot as well.

thats cause whiplash mk 2 was a last minute add in for the movie, it takes too long to get the material->sculpt fig->make it-> sell it. they did have the race track whiplash in a 3 pk, single and even a comic version, plus they did a mandarin figure for that line (comic series)

Again, given all the merchandise that was shown before the movie came out, I really thought the War Machine armor was in the movie as well.

Man! I could swear WM Mark 2 would show up in a particular scene with Rhodey, by the end of the movie. What Tony did would mean FRIENDSHIP OVER if I was Rhodey. C'mon! :lol

No, please don't spoiler this major plot point for the rest of the forums or anything.

Maybe you should take the advice that was given to me when I *****ed about spoilers being in these threads. I was told that I should stay away from these threads until after I see the movie because I shouldn't expect spoilers to not be here when 90% of the world has seen the movie and people want to discuss it. So I am just paying it forward.

Apologies if I revealed something you weren't aware of but I sure wasn't the first one to reveal it. It's been said a few times in here.

How much we guessing for this one?

$190?

$200 perhaps?

If HT was smart, as cheap as possible. They've already done the R&D on him (well, maybe not so much R :lol) so making him would be more cost effective than not. And I can't remember them giving an official teaser like this and NOT eventually making the figure that is clearly 90+% done. I think a good price will be the key to selling this figure to those on the fence. They've raped us enough on the other figures. Its steal of a deal time.

I'm guessing either Mandarin or Iron Whiplash will get the coveted 200th MMS slot now.

I would pass on a Mandarin figure. While Kingsley did a great job in the role I have no connection to the character as presented in the movie and can't justify HT prices for one.

Yep, the closer this gets to $200+, the less likely I am to buy. While I'd love to get the chair, the gargoyles and a blue helmet with dog tags....I'm sure those accessories will price the figure out of my range. I suppose I could piece one together without all of that stuff?

I wonder what kind of body this figure would come with? Because after seeing
Trevor in his sweatpants, clearly he's nowhere near 6' tall.
