I think this guy will be a sleeper, I already feel sorry for the people having to pay after market prices when he's been sold out!

Buy 5 of them, that way you can just rake in the profits, like all those who bought multiples of CR Superman, and Odin!

We don't get Bond first. We didn't get Potter first. The country that created them got first. I just think since its an American film, an American superhero, that America shouldn't be a week behind the rest of the world. That's how Dad did it. That's how America's done it. And its worked out pretty well so far. :dunno

Well, usually the rest of the world gets the movies after America, and years ago, we used to get them months after the US, yes, literally months, and in some cases we still do, so you'll have to forgive my lack of sympathy.

Or not because I wouldn't exploit fellow collectors. It was said about Hawkeye and Black Widow as well and they've sold fantastically. We are just a small selection of collectors and this guy will sell out.

Before the film i wanted to buy it, after the film, not a ****ing chance in hell
:lol

You're telling me that you weren't dazzled by Trevor the actor's awesome acting? In all seriousness while this ain't the Mandarin it's a nice interpretation of the character.

Depending on how the Ben Kingsly headsculpt turns out (and the price and whether I like the film or not), this might be my first Iron Man figure purchase.

Ditto on this. If I find myself enjoying the film and liking the character, this could be my first IM figure as I'm considering the thought of collecting the Avengers "villains trio" (Loki, Red Skull and Mandarin).

I didn't like the twist either (the first segment of my reply was sarcastic) but i liked the costume so i'll probably buy it.

lol ah right. He's cool looking for sure but the twist has killed him for me.

Maybe so, but when it comes to the figures previously mentioned, I would not bet $5 on seeing them.

You may be right. But no one know how HT operates when it comes to what they make.

I will say that they have gone back and made figures from the "That ship has sailed " category.

Spiderman 3 - Red / Blue Spidey, Black Spidey, New Goblin

Superman - CR Superman

X-Men 3 - Wolverine

Iron Man 1 - Iron Monger, Mark I 2.0

Iron Man 2 - Iron Whiplash, Mark II Unleashed

Dark Knight - Lt Gordon, Joker 2.0

Batman Begins - Scarecrow / Demon Batman, SDCC Bruce / Batman

Blade - Blade and Abigail

Captain America - SDCC Rescue Cap

Batman ( 1989 ) - Joker and Batman

All of these were released more than a year after the movie was. So they do have a great history of making characters from past movies.

Anything is possible.

:goodpost:

I think Wreck it Ralph came out about 4 or 5 months after it did in the US.

when i read the twist as a spoiler last week, i thought of how they're going to do it...then after watching the movie, it seems to be a ballsy move on Marvel's part but I for one did like it :) one of the best scenes not involving special effects, Ben Kingsley is the man! I will pre-order, again depending on the outcome of the hs and accessories it will come with...

Damn it now I'm curious.... I mean, I love Ben Kingsley and all, plus I was happy that they got someone good for Mandarin, but it seems like whatever it is you guys are talking about are creating some divisive reception about the character. I'll be seeing the film tomorrow, so we'll see how it goes...
