No, I would bet many thousands of dollars that this is not going to be the case. That sculpt linked above is a bootleg recast.

Oh I know its a boot leg recast or whatever due to the rerelease of the dx but I was saying for the actual release its going to be the same head from the original release.

Weird. I never viewed this as particularly menacing or angry:

I guess if you tilt the head downward, but then, many sculpts would probably look menacing that way that wouldn't otherwise.

Could be - I've got mine tilted downward slightly (to make it more natural with his upward-directed eyes).

Is this really a revelation to some?


Obviously that's what you should do when the eyes are painted looking "up". One exception is Superman, who looks good head bowed, looking forward and head straight, looking up.

No. I would not assume that was going to be the case. They sort of did that with the Begins Batman, but A ) it was a con exclusive, and B ), they modified it anyway with new mouths.

Well even as he was posed in the solicitation pics didn't make him look all that sinister to me.

When his head is tilted down, it's as if he is looking up from reading a book or something.

With the 2.0release coming up then these things pop up its almost safe to assume these have something to do with that. Happend all the time with starwars 3.75 a figure would get rereleased and sometime before that bootlegs/factory rejects would pop up on eBay.

Yeah, I don't really get all the hate this sculpt is getting. I thought it was well liked? I dunno... I think it's one of the better Joker sculpts HT did. This and BR. And I thought he looked a little sinister. I mean not overly black evil satanic sinister but definitely a dark look.
