@ Lord Freezer:

Do you have measurements of proportions of the 1:1, HT's and NECA's to justify those misproportions? For one, you're simply comparing pics to other pics, but still, when you compare how the overall figure looks, it's still apparent that HT is superior. Again, this is because we're comparing a higher scale figure meant for collectors to something smaller and meant for mass market.

And i can't get why the HT P2 is being compared to the 7" Macfarlane as well, given that the HT one is decidedly of higher quality. This argument is really grasping at straws.

Even that side-by-side pics of that Berserker Pred is showing that while both figures have flaws, HT's is still decidedly much much better. Which is understandable since we're talking of a high end figure.

Again, it's really a moot point. This thread is getting more and more pointless.

I voted NECA because i don't own any Hot Toys figures. I can't justfiy spending hundreds of dollars on action figures.

NECA offers a variety of scales at incredibly reasonable prices.

I really like NECA & McFarlane 18" figures, they are what got me into the hobby YEARS ago :)

:goodpost:

NECA caters to a different market, and in that market, NECA is king.

HT caters to another market, and in that market, HT is king as well.

NECA is bang for the buck, but for a display piece, HT it is.

If NECA would offer 1:6th scale Predators in stealth mode, I'd snatch them up since I know HT will never offer those types of variants. Furthermore, I'll also buy 1:6th scale Aliens if NECA makes them because their reasonable prices would be a boon for diorama-making.

I'll just stick to my 12" dollies. Little plastic toys aren't for me.

Man, that's still photos, angles, lighting, etc. AGAIN, if you're going to state argument as fact, you'll need to back it up with more than just opinion. Give us measured proportions. Otherwise, you're just speculating and presenting opinion as fact.

More acurate Terminator collectibles? The entire HT Terminator line is awesome. The Neca ALIEN isn't dead on either. And is there even a Neca Dutch figure?

Yeah not so much the Terminator ones. I'm thrilled with the work from both companies there for the most part. T-sarah's likeness could be better and Arnies face could be a bit longer while Neca's T-1000's face is a bit too long and their QC blows.

Neca's alien isn't dead on I guess but its certainly moreso than Hot Toys one. Personally I'd rather the lower-end close-to-accurate figure than a high end one that f___s up in the most important areas.

As for a NECA Dutch, yes they will be making one.

O come on everybody knows HT's proportions suck on allot of their figures. Have you seen HT's Robocop figure, it looks like Robokid.

I'll vote for Hot Toys.

I got my Guardian Predator in about a week ago, and while it's my first, it won't be my last. These guys are awesome. I honestly believe that trying to compare Neca Predators to Hot Toys Predators, is like trying to compare a $1 Hamburger, to a $30 Prime Rib. Hot Toys Predators have better articulation, more accessories (hell Neca Predators don't even hardly come with any accessories), and in my opinion far better detail.

After getting my Hot Toys Predator, I was so jazzed up that I went to my local Toys R Us to buy the Neca Predators. Once actually viewing them in the package...I just couldn't pull the trigger. The articulation looks horrible, as well as the paint apps. Also, to be honest...if someone says they are more economical than Hot Toys, that may be true, but you get what you pay for, and for what you get the 17 dollar price point is waaaayyy overpriced. I am a fan of the Neca Street Fighter figures, and for a Neca product with LESS articulation, and WORSE paint to cost MORE is retarded.

So if you want to penny pench, and you want a *slightly* more screen accurate, unarticulated brick, by all means get the Neca Predator. If you want something that is truely a work of art, with plenty of accessories and articulation, go order a Hot Toys Predator.

Oh, and Flacco....I love how when asked a question, after posting your opinion you blatantly dodge it with " ummmm I'm not a fan of the "NEW" Predators, so I can't answer that question". You need some vagisil buddy. Also...if you are not a fan of Hot Toys figures, and prefer the Neca bricks...why join a Sideshow Forum?? Sounds to me like you're just a troll.

You can't put a price on talent buddy, NECA sculpts beat HT sculpts by miles.

Hot Toys Predators have better articulation,

Yeah and they are not affraid to hide it either, have you seen those fugly arms on HT predators!:lol

:lol:lol:lol

Come and say that when the dreads of your predator will start falling of because HT uses the cheapest materials known in this mysterious universe of ours.

Am i the only one that thinks articulation is overrated, i'd rather have a great sculpt than the kiddie Toy-look of HT's predator figures.

If you want something that is truely a work of art, with plenty of accessories and articulation, go order a Hot Toys Predator.

If you want to see art look at NECA's P1 sculpt now that is art.

@ Optimatron:

Yup, him and the freezer over here.

@ 8th wonder:

and Robocop was released when? Also, tons of review of HT figures say otherwise. Take Mike Crawley's reviews.

What's release date got to do with it? I don't need a review when i have had both V2 and V3 Robocop by HT plus the NECA figure.

The paintjob on HT's Robocop is absolutely fantastic but the sculpts is very simplistic compared to the NECA one.
