The poll speaks for its self...
Hottoys 64
NECA 8

Hottoys is the best for sure...

Because this is a Hot Toys / Sideshow forum.

People should really stop calling other people trolls for every little thing.

He is a HT kind of guy, venting that in a snappy slighty insulting:lol way does not make him a troll.

LMAO, I have no problem with anyone that prefers HOT TOYS over NECA. I do have a problem with statements like this "If money's your excuse for buying NECA, get a job or ask your mommy for an increase in allowance.

In Internet slang, a troll is someone who posts inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community

I'm sorry 8th Wonder, you are defending a troll.

You can't put a price on talent buddy, NECA sculpts beat HT sculpts by miles.

I don't think it's miles, there might be some slight differences, but nothing that makes the NECA better imo. OH, and you can totally put a price tag on anything, and the NECA price tag is OVERPRICED bullspit. For what you get (which isn't much), the price should be more in the ballpark of 9 -10 dollars. Considering you get a whole lot more with the Street Fighter figures, and they cost $14, the $17 pricepoint of the Predators should be knocked down be about 8 bucks.

Yeah and they are not affraid to hide it either, have you seen those fugly arms on HT predators!:lol
I'd rather be able to see the joints on the arm, and actually have good articulation, then the arm be completely natural looking, and screen accurate with minimal movement. After witnessing the awesome articulation that Neca is capable of producing, its sad to see the Predators franchise get the bottom rung as far as articulation goes.

Come and say that when the dreads of your predator will start falling of because HT uses the cheapest materials known in this mysterious universe of ours.
I've touched the dreads on my Guardian plenty of times, and I also did the hairdryer mod to get them to lay down better. I see no problems with them so far. I also would much rather have life-like dreads than hair sculpted out of hard plastic.

Am i the only one that thinks articulation is overrated, i'd rather have a great sculpt than the kiddie Toy-look of HT's predator figures.
.
I guess we do indeed have different opinions of what is important. I come from collecting Transformers, so articulation and poseability are very important to me. It seems I prefer to be able to pose and display my collection, whereas it seems you would be happ taking something out of the package and displaying it as is, just to look at.

If you want to see art look at NECA's P1 sculpt now that is art.

I've seen the Neca Classic Predator, because that is the one I wanted to buy the most, but after looking at multiples of him...I couldn't find one with good enough paint, and I can honestly say that the Hot Toys P1 head sculpt looks just as good to me. It's sad that the Neca P's need to be custom painted right out of the box. I honestly don't find them very appealing until my buddy Encline gets ahold of them and paints them up, and adds accessories.

On a sidenote, my girlfriend was with me when I went to look at the Neca Preds and the first thing out of her mouth when she saw the Neca, was "Why would you want this pos, when you have that badass Predator back at home?" It seems even she can see that Neca Preds don't compare to Hot Toys.

=HottoyzJoker;2759862]^^^ So I guess all Hottoys fans are _______s and all NECA fans are fun loving?

Ofcourse not but never trust in the majority just because they are the majority.

The numbers speak truth again...

The truth here is that more people like HT. The "truth" concerning to wich is aesthetically better looking is completely subjective and not related to the meaning of absolute truth. You can only apply that to the individual.

I've seen the Neca Classic Predator, because that is the one I wanted to buy the most, but after looking at multiples of him...I couldn't find one with good enough paint,

its impossible to have a clean good paint on a 7" figure with so many details !
Think a little before you post :cuckoo:

Why are we pulling classic aganist P1... P1 Predator by hottoys is the one to have... All the people I know that have seen my P1 Hottoy and have bought Neca figs werent to happy when they had to pay paint artist to make there figure look not half assed...

The Hot Toys 12" P1 figure is a bad joke.
... each who really know how the character looks in the film know that.

If i followed your reasoning i would say a HT fig is worth about 40$.

I personally don't care about articulation so we just have to disagree on that one.

Durability is very important to me, that's one of the reasons why i am a HT apostate. And i don't think the use of rubber makes them look all that more real honestly.

True

I've seen the Neca Classic Predator, because that is the one I wanted to buy the most, but after looking at multiples of him...I couldn't find one with good enough paint, and I can honestly say that the Hot Toys P1 head sculpt looks just as good to me. I personally think NECA's sculpt is undeniably superior in every way.

EVEN SHE huh, sexist!:lol Cool that your girl can appreciate a predator figure.:)

hahaha....I could say the same for you. Especially since you decide to dodge answering another members question, simply on the basis that you don't have any good response to back up your opinion. Btw, did you go pick up some vagisil yet?

It's not impossible, and as a collector I'm more than welcome to be picky about such things as quality of paint apps, articulation, and detail. Those are all things figures need to be graded on, and if you are comfortable with smudges and paint apps running into areas they're not supposed to be in...more power to you. However, I believe you would have to be the crazy one not to care about these things. You seem to find the most uneducated, backwards logic to support your theories. It's like you live to post, Post-hawk fallacies, as fact. But I guess your decision to join a Sideshow Forum, when you're obviously not a fan of their products, shows how big of a mental giant you really are. Also, if you happen to be a fan of the cinemaquettes and maquettes, as well as other statues, then your choice to join in on a discussion about ACTION FIGURES, speaks volumes about you as an individual as well. Btw, do you happen to do reviews of figures on youtube? Your misguided ignorance reminds me of a certain reviewer.

I wouldn't say that, it's still a good looking figure. The NECA sculpt however is a masterpiece:lecture.
