Bummer. I was really hoping mine would finally ship today, but still says shipping soon.
 
Hi King Darkness. Where are you seeing that yours says "shipping soon" on the Sideshow website? I did my pre-order for my PL through their "flex-pay" payment plan, but still haven't got a shipping or "shipping soon" e-mail from them. My credit card was charged on the 7th for my final payment for it. Let me know. Thanks!
 
i receieved the ssc email about preauthorizing the card and then i my card showed a charge in the amount of "well you all know if you ordered it......:lol"..........then oddly enough the credit went back in to my bank account. well after reading the newsletter from ssc it shows as shipping in the next 30 days, so that has me wondering if they (sideshow) have to delay due to a vendor/painter/handler/whatever you call it from hot toys that will make us wait a bit longer. anyone else experience this?

What you saw was Sideshow's pre-auth charge, it takes the money out to see if your card can cover the expense then puts the funds back, and you'll have it subtracted again upon shipping. Sideshow's Newsletter Coming In 30 Days section is any product that'll ship within the coming 30 days, doesn't mean they're all 30 days away, they can be 1 day away, 2 weeks, just means they haven't shipped yet but expect it within a month's time.

ahh, that had me wondering. i always thought that once the preauthed it it was just held in limbo until they actually charged it. thanks maulfan. that clears that up, i thought something went wrong.

No problem, it's not a common thing that's known I think, but I had a pre-auth fail once because I didn't have the funds at the time of that but when I spoke with Customer Service and got it worked out, it was explained to me.
 
Maulfan, did you order your power loader outright, or I mean, pay for it all at one time? Or, did you do Sideshow's "flex-pay" payment plan like I did? I had my last flex-pay payment go through on the 7th this past week. Sideshow tried to charge it on my card on Monday, the 6th, but it failed. So I had to get the extra money on to my credit card to cover my final payment on the 7th. :confused: I am just concerned about this because being that I am on a VERY tight budget it will be hard for me to get another $112.00 on to my card if they attempt to charge that amount again in about a week or so. Let me know how you paid for your PL. The "flex-pay" payment way, or all at one time in one big charge. If you don't mind. I appreciate it. Thanks. :D

Oh yeah. On my credit card statement online it does not say that the charge from Sideshow is a "autorization" or a "pre-authorization" at all. It shows no sign of that anywhere. Just looks like a regular credit card charge for my final payment.

Mike, I'm on an outright payment plan, I wasn't sure if I'd be keeping the order or not in the grand scheme and this way if I needed to cancel there was no loss. SSC will likely charge you that ammount this week, but if you can manage it within reason, I'd talk to customer service and see if they can work with you on your order so you don't lose it due to not having the funds.

Yeah, its on my Sideshow account page.
 
I'll give Sideshow another call, or just reply to one of their representatives. I have personal e-mail addresses for two of their reps who've mailed me already about my order. I just want to be sure "all my bases" are covered. Know what I mean? I don't want to risk losing the PL after paying so much for it, and waiting so long to get it! Thanks again.

I am anxious to get it pjam. Yes, I do remember "Say Anything". I'm a big John Cusack fan, and loved most all of his movies. Especially those great classic comedies in the '80s..."Better Off Dead", "One Crazy Summer", "Say Anything" to name a few.

I'm taking a deep breath now.....and the "chill" is on.....:cool:

Lol my Elder Pred 2 has been on pre order since October 1st. I emailed the seller and they said it should drop in HK this month
