I had got a personal e-mail confirmation of my final "flex-pay" payment charge to my card today from a Sideshow representative. She said as of about 1:00pm my time, central time, they hadn't arrived in Sideshow's warehouse, but they were still expecting them all to come in sometime today.

I actually have yet to get a SS confirmation email. I have been charged on my CCard though. From SSC, so it IS due. Maybe I get both, the charge and the shipping one, at one time. :D One can hope!
Hope you are right about the shipping Mike. :rock

So how are people planning to display this? When it comes I'll just have two Aliens figures (this and the alien warrior from Aliens) so I'll probably have Ripley grappling with the alien. Not sure where it will go yet though.

im planning on displaying mine with the 18" vintage kenner alien. kind of a old school versus new school scenario. unless it looks completely dumb. we'll see and go from there.

I'm going to literally make the PL my "centerpiece" of my HT ALIENS collection. I'm placing the PL in the middle of all of my HT marines along the top of my computer desk. I've got my marines, and Ripley, my custom Bishop, and the other two customs I'm working on now, Cpl. Deitrich, and Newt on top of my desk now.

In the next picture you can barely see a nifty business card from Mr. Les Walker on the shelf under my figures! LWFM (Les Walker Figure Master). I even got his autograph on the back of the card too. Sweet! He Rocks...but we all here already know that anyway! He "doctored" my Ripley's legs to make her taller....like she should be.

Yeah, I gotta paint Vasquez's and Drake's faces darker to match the skin tone on their bodies. I know their faces look kinda pale. I'll work on it! But I will put my PL where Ripley is now...in the middle. I've moved the computer printer off of the top of my desk now where it was next to Sgt. Apone. I gotta make some more room for that huge PL coming in! :D

My custom Bishop was made from a Sideshow Toys X-Files Frank Black 12" figure. Since actor Lance Henricksen played both Frank Black and Bishop, I just had to repaint the head. Because as Frank Black he has very gray hair. I also hated how they painted his eyes looking down and to the right.

I repainted his eyes blue and looking straight ahead, and his hair black. I may go over his hair again with some dark brown highlights someday. I also want to get a better jumpsuit for him using the Gameitoy GSG-9 jumpsuit. I've seen other guys use it for him and it works much better than the dark blue one I have on him now. I got an extra pair of Ripley's boots and cut off the tops of them to make them like the high-top shoes Bishop wore in the movie.

Thanks Reinhardt! My painting skills are improving....slowly. But at least improving. I'll work more on my Vasquez and Drake heads to make them darker. I'm also going to add the correct things to my Hudson and Hicks to make their outfits more movie accurate. I plan on bleaching out Vasquez's BDUs, and making Hudson's and Hicks's darker like some of you guys have done already.

Frank Black appeared in the X-Files, and then had his own "spin-off" TV show from the X-Files, called Millennium on the FOX network. It ran for a few seasons. Lance Henricksen is a GREAT actor in my book! One of my favorites. He has a great sounding voice too. Very cool. They've used him as a voice actor in many videogames. :D

Mine was charged Monday and still say shipping soon. Hopefully it will go out today and be here next week.

man! jedimike71 nice collection. the more i see these pictures the more tempted i am to get atleast one colonial marine figure, a hudson i guess . i need to create a paypal account and try getting one off ebay.

Good luck getting a Hudson on eBay there Leprechaun. Since he was in the last assortment Hot Toys did with Ripley and Drake...he should be much easier to get than the ones in the first assortment. Those were Vasquez, Sgt. Apone, and.......the crown jewel......HICKS!

Thanks for the "props" for my collection! I'm working hard on my custom Deitrcich and Newt now. I hope to have pics of them up in about a week or so. :D

Well, I finally got bumped to Item Shipping Soon today, oh man, I'm getting goosebumps. We can rationalize all of these figures as collectibles all day long, but at the end of the day, this is definitely going to be a toy for me, and I'm going to play with it and act like I'm a kid again :)

And take glorious pictures??

But of course, it has working lights and all, there's just so much more potential with this piece just for that fact alone. The beauty of the film fight is Cameron shot it to work around the effects to hide what was going on, and in doing so got some nice, dynamic angles in the fight and it's going to be fun replicating that. Sadly, I probably won't get to shooting it the day I get it, I'll probably spend most of that night putting the thing together possibly, we'll see, hopefully construction isn't too bad. Definitely have to recreate "Get away from her you *****!"

I agree with you Maulfan about setting the power loader up for some great movie-related poses. I know I'll pose it in the middle of my marines on top of my computer desk. But I won't really be playing with it as much as just admiring it standing there with my troops! :monkey5 From what I've seen so far it looks like installing the hoses on it will be the "fun" part of the assembly of it!

I'll post some pictures of mine on this board too. My credit card got charged on the 7th, and they say it takes 4 to 5 days after your card is charged for it to ship. I figure my PL will be shipped on Monday, the 12th, since the 11th is a Sunday. I can't wait to finally get it! :D

Now Hot Toys MUST make a 1/6 scale alien queen mother to go head-to-head with Ripley in the PL! Then you can truly recreate some great scenes from the movie then!
