Hot Toys Princess Leia and Wicket Collectible Figures Set

It is great to know these are being produced for sure and not going to die on the vine like many other figures. The renewed hope for Death Star Trooper is the icing on the cake.

Figures like Endor Luke, Bespin Leia, R2 D2, and Solo figures should also be releasing in Hong Kong any day now. Perhaps they will drop Endor Luke next week on the heels of this Leia/Wicket announcement.

From what Ive seen and heard (which I hope is wrong, but dont have much hope), if the final Luke photos/release posts havent been released publicly, probably looking at at least another one month delay following the last one. My final payment was bumped from Aug 5 to September 5 in the US, but from all Ive read with nothing being posted, there is no way it can be released, shipped to distributors in this short period of time. Apparently it needs a few weeks minimum to be "out there" overseas for any hope of Sideshow shipping to the US, so im keeping my expectations low, but would love to be surprised and wrong on it.

They've had this Luke since 2017, I was foolish enough to think it would actually be an early release for those who wanted it, with the time frame and already released ROTJ Luke.

Seeing that the sculpt is the same as Hoth Leia I might just get Wicket... I?m running out of space (I promised myself to stick to three SW display cabinets [emoji51]) and don?t want to have the same sculpt twice... or do I...

It?s a shame they didn?t develop single jointed arms for this figure. The General look is really good but those double-jointed arms seem pretty unnecessary for this Leia.

I'm surprised they didn't make her arms seemless like they have with other female HT figures. It would look much better but then again, I would also worry about the longevity of the material they use too

I'm not one to modify or customize figures other than additional weathering where and when needed, but I think this will be the first figure I switch out the body for a seamless one, the joints make it look like a cheap barbie doll especially where she shares the same head portrait as hoth leia. Since I stick with meusem poses I wont be too worried about breaking down. And I'll be putting luke on second speeder bike and leia with wicket for displays purposes. Now all I need is that damn dewback to complete an amazing museum style star wars setup in 1/6scale

I just got a great deal on a Speeder Bike today for $275 shipped. I figured I could use it for the trooper or Leia and Wicket.

Still no closer to a Dewback though. However that price is harder to justify for me.

I may also consider swapping out the body on this Leia. Depends how visible the elbow joints are with the poncho.

I wonder if they will reuse the body to make another Ewok or two down the road, way down the road? Maybe a logray and teebo? I know wicket is smaller than other Ewoks but I?m sure ht will figure it out. Extremely doubtful, but as of 2 months ago I would never have thought either of these would be up for preorder right now.
The ot gift from ht before sequels and another 765 Spider-Man figures.

I think if they were going to do more than one Ewok it would have made more sense to release it and Wicket in a two pack rather than Wicket and Leia. I?m not sure other Ewoks would sell on their own.

I agree. I think we were somewhat lucky to even get Wicket. I think ROTJ Leia would have had relatively poor sales on her own, but teamed up with Wicket that's a totally different story. I guess they just both compliment each other.

Yeah I'm going to have a hard time deciding who to put on my speeder bike now-- the Biker Scout, Endor Luke, Endor Leia, or Wicket?

I've never been one of those to freak out over exposed joints, but I have to agree these ones are looking especially ugly at the moment. If it doesn't get improved I might pick up one of these new Xing bodies and pop in the seamless arms instead, since the Phicens would probably be way too tall for Leia anyway.

Actually that's a really good idea if just the arms can be used. Then the body and Leia non-seamless arms can be used for some other female figure perhaps ?

It's possible the arms on those may not be as durable as the ones on a Phicen, but then again the Phicen arms look equally bad and unrealistic to me when the arms are bent very far, so I'd probably be keeping the seamless ones pretty straight regardless.

Yep I know it won't realistically ship soon, I'm just hoping it drops in Hong Kong so the now normal 6ish week countdown can begin before Sideshow gets them in.

First up I do love this set, so glad they have released it.
But how do we pose this? In half the photos they are sitting on logs, wicket is drumming on the helmets. We don't get the logs right? In the photo of what is included its some stands with some small rocks.
What did I miss?

Go into any forest and grab a log for them to sit on. That is what I am going to do.
