I think you might have misunderstood my post. I didn't really have a bad experience, and I'm not basing my opinion on that. My figure came with a bit of chrome paint missing on the shoulder. As they can't replace parts, they refunded me and asked me to destroy the piece. I had always planned to buy another one with the refund money.

My opinion is based on the fact that this is 80% cheap plastic and it costs $400 USD. Yes, it does look cool, don't get me wrong, and I do like it, but after smashing it, I saw past the cool factor and all I could see was $400 worth of broken plastic. It kind of made me feel a bit bitter towards it, and I didn't feel like it was worth the money when I saw it like that. I still don't think it's worth the money. It is a cool looking figure no doubt, but not worth $400. Making the entire thing out of die-cast metal or polystone would have given it a different look, trust me. It would've looked much better and much more realistic.

Wait why did you smash it? Couldn't you just keep it anyways?

Hold on a minute,
Diecast and yes plastic, but for a similar price so does the Hulk, Iron Monger, Batman Tumbler, Batmobile, Tron Light cycle, Samurai Predator, Suit up Gantry etc & they dont come near how complicated this thing is.

Your actually paying for amazing engineering on this thing, all the working pistons and stuff, I have lots of Polystone Sideshow statue's but I wouldn't swap this for a Sideshow PF, you must be mad to compare them.

You stick to your static Plastic Polystone and I'll stick to amazing engineering and a lovely Chrome finish.

Yeah the SS 1/4 endo is not all metal either, might have more then this but its articulation is only on upper body. Its base is 100% better as the HT one looks very rushed with paint job. The SS endo was on ss store dor $549 so not huge price difference either.

I just picked up the 1/4 Endo used and the finish is kinda dull over the whole figure. I used the grey cloth and that helped a little to shine it up, but was wondering what other methods I can use to get him looking newer and shiny?

I have an Endoskull and the Endoskeleton, and I use a light chrome/Electroplate cleaner called Silvo, not to harsh and brings it up like new.

Is there any major QC issues to look out for on this piece?
Is it as fragile as it looks?
Thinking of picking one up on saturday but super-scared it'll be broken or even worse… that I'll brake it myself.

Really want a companion piece for my Enterbay BD T-800. ;)

The only thing to be careful with are the back neck rods.
They are plastic and in some positions if not too careful they can brake. I broke one, got a replacement but ended up modding it with metal rods :)

Apart from that its not fragile at all :)

I think they are quite sturdy myself, yes the neck rods will break, but only if you push the head down to far.
Like anything, if your rough with it, it will get damaged, if you handle it normally and don't force things, it will last many years.

Oh really? As one of mine broke too. How did you get a replacement and how did you replace it?

Can I see a pic please as I love this figure but that break really bothers me.

Got the replacement from my retailer, actually he changed the whole Head has it was easier for him than to wait for Tiny spare parts.

When i got it i replaced the Neck rods, with aluminium rods from ebay.
First you need to detach the Head so you can remove the broken rods
Detach the black base of it. Mine was not glued hard so it was easy.

Then you can remove the rds wich have a small ball at the extrémity to make them stay in the Head.
Then i slided in my aluminium rods, those i have are just a bit too longer than the originals plastic rods hence they dont slide put of the Head. Might modifie them, make them a bit shorter and make a small ball Head joint to fit inside the skull.

I ll try to make pics, but for nw its packed :)
