Haha yeah they haven't made 1/4 female figure yet, I wonder if they will eventually.

They probably don't want to invest too much in 1/4 since it's still pretty niche. Only female figures I could see them making would be armored.

Otherwise they probably would've made a 1/4 Black Widow by now since that's apparently one of the best selling characters for Hot Toys.

But a 1/4 Bo-Katan would be fantastic and would probably get me to dip into the line.

Aside from a 1/4 Stormtrooper whose absence is still a great mystery.

Agreed, I also don't see them investing much into 1/4, since their releases are few and far between.

Hahah yeah that seems the most plausible!

That seems like the most likely female character to make, and shoot I think they can pull it off.

G'aahhh I'd be innnn for a 1/4 Bo!!! :thud: :panic:

Aside from a 1/4 Stormtrooper whose absence is still a great mystery.

It is quite befuddling they haven't released that one. It would've been so great if it released in conjunction with their 1/4 Darth Vader. Plus, it'd sell very well as multiples are favorable and trooper collectors would most probably dip into it.

Yeah they've been extremely selective when it comes to 1/4. Although just as they did with BoBF I can see them going all out with the new Ahsoka series when that comes out, and maybe giving us a 1/4 then.

In the meantime I guess I'll have to make do with the PF.

Fett requires significantly less work than Ahsoka. Just another armored figure which they’ve done several of versus having to devise an all new possibly seamless body and manufacture a very intricate outfit for it.

Something new alone isn’t enough for them to go out anymore, especially now.

But I appreciate your optimism.

PF is probably the better medium anyway. I think statues in 1/4 are the safer bet for unarmored characters in the long run. Plenty can go wrong in 1/6 as it is.

at last ... Thanks to Yongbum for the pose ...

I should finally be getting mine next week from Popcultcha. Although I'm feeling a little nervous about that stiff looking body and hope it's possible to get some more natural poses out of it like you can with the 1/6 versions...

Gratz! Definitely a glorious figure! :D
Thanks zurdo 🙏 it is indeed an amazing piece, full of details and fantastic quality, even in the pleather

I use to own the first 1/6 full beskar mando so in my mind the 1/4 scale was just the same but bigger ....but man how wrong I was, the proportions are beautifully done here don't know if it's because of the scale but it really looks astonishing, and the over all paint job is masterfully done on both figures (the details on grogu are insane) and even if we don't have chrome beskar I have to accept that the paint job on the armor is top notch to. On the weapons we also have all the details that the 1/6 figure should have had from the very beginning 😒, ( the pulse rifle looks like a perfect replica 👌) and the pleather .... Uff the pleather almost looks like real leather , in my case the normal stand was the best option since I don't have space but the deluxe one looks amazing to.
Yes not everything is perfect and the fact that I can't put the arms in a natural pose (cause of the fat suit) makes me a little bit crazy every time I want to pose him

Overall If you're a fan then you need this 1/4 scale mando , or at least wait for the imminent new crhome beskar ver.

@davejames

I when with the alclad chrome 114 and chrome alc 107

But if I can't achive the chrome like the pics that some users have posted here then I'll gonna leave my mando as it is

Look forward to the results. I really want to paint mine but never done anything like this so scared I’ll ruin it.
I think your left shoulders pauldron is upside down

I honestly won’t be surprised if for Season 3 since the s2 chrome 1/6 came out HT might do another 1/4 Mando but in chrome. Maybe not though considering this one is still on the shelves. Guaranteed had it had the chrome paint it’d have sold out long ago

Received mine as well and it's a very impressive figure, but definitely one that needs a repaint. As that dull silver is even more boring to look at in 1/4 than it was in 1/6.

Very nice! Nice museum pose too! I'd say as is it looks plenty good (in my opinion), but yeah no doubt a new paint job to the armor would elevate the figure.

Yeah I think a proper more shiny armor armor Mando would've been the best, along with the inclusion of an un-helmeted head sculpt. In my opinion, I think the OG suit should've been done in 1/4 first and then subsequently the beskar suit!

Thanks 😅 it arrived like that for some reason 😖

Off topic::
I did some quick test with the alclad crhome but I'm still not Happy enough with the results (probably because I'm still to green) so for now I'm not gonna mod mando until I achive what I'm looking for.

@bperry

Nice 👍 you'll be
pretty happy with it

I wanted to reach out to our collectors who have the Hot Toys 1/4 Scale Mandalorian figure. Also, I apologize for the long post.

Sorry if this topic dims anyone's spirits about this figure, but I feel it's important to give you guys a heads up with an on going issue I've had.

So, keep an eye out for defects or issues with the silver paint on all the armor and helmet, jetpack ect..... read on.

I've had an issue with the chest armor's silver paint that SS customer service acknowledged and replaced last Jan. 2022. After that, everything seemed good with 1/4 scale Mando. But, with all the distractions this last year I haven't examined him up close since then, or spent much time posing him. It's just been in a clean, closed cabinet.

Sadly, I just opened the cabinet to bring him out for some pics and its apparent the silver paint is reacting with something, because light coming from a down angle (led cabinet lights) gives the armor a corroded appearance. It looks horrible on the helmet, chest, vambraces, pauldrons, and thigh armor. Its still a smooth finish and the clear coat is intact, but the silver paint is looking progressively worse.

It now looks like the same defect that caused me to ask for a replacement chest armor has appeared again on other silver armor parts.

The last pic shows both chest armors side by side. The installed is the replacement. The loose one is the original defective one. They now look the same, all really bad. I don't think this should be happening. I'm wondering how wide spread this issue is, and it might not be just my copy that is having this issue?

Unfortunately, after 30 days, Sideshow states they're will not offer customer service. And that window has passed for me. Even though they previously acknowledged this issue and sent a replacement chest armor, they will do no more to help.

I know many who own this figure would like to upgrade the paint to a chrome finish. While some are happy with the stock silver paint as is. I wasn't planning on doing the chrome paint upgrade.

Please keep watch on your Mando figure, if it's within the 30 day time period, don't hesitate to ask SS for a customer service request. After that I would still let them know about the issue, in case it turn out to be a more widespread issue.

If there's any further info or developments I can provide, I'll be sure sure to update everyone.

The pics speak for themselves. All pics of the silver paint defects on the Deluxe Hot Toys 1/4 scale Mandalorian figure....

That is really bizarre. I've had mine for several months and just took a look and he's fine. Mine isn't inside a cabinet, just on a shelf under LED lighting. Anything with your climate that might be causing an acceleration of this issue? humid, etc.? Haven't seen this before. If you go the re-paint route, prime it, paint it and seal it and hopefully it'll stick. Good luck!
