This figure is one of my favorites I've gotten this year. :D

If you're still on the fence about getting it, don't delay. You'll regret it.

I can't believe how well made this figure is. I wasn't too thrilled with him until I got it in my hands. Now he's probably my favorite non-SS figure.

Hot Toys IMO is really making Medicom, SS, and all the other 1/6 companies looking pretty bad. Their figures have all been great so far this year.

Bonehead, I couldn't agree more...While this figure is a bit pricey, I have wanted a HIGH-QUALITY Robocop for ages...and this does NOT disappoint. The overall colour application of the silver with the slight "blue" tinge...the (gulp) functioning thigh holster...the bending, working pistons on the back of the feet...even the slightly moving toes...and the face detail under the helmet...I even love that the black sections are made of a 'rubbery' material similar to the real suit, as opposed to black plastic. This is BY FAR my fave figure right now, and one of the best additions to my collection this year...at least until ED-209 shows up! :D If anyone was on the fence about this one, GRAB it NOW!!! Along with SS, Hot Toys RULES!!! (aside from the questionable face sculpts on the Aliens marines... )

P.S., pjam et al, I got my Robo from Marc at Alter Ego and mine's near perfect! No helmet paint trouble to report! Thank goodness, I'd hate to have to return him from Canada! Best of luck with your replacements...

Thanks Indy, still waiting on word from AE. :tap

lol. i'll prolly try and have a Robo 1 box made. or buy the Robo 1 figure, keep box, sell fig heh.

That may work. According to Mike Crawford's review, the box is pretty much useless once assembled because he can only be stored unassembled.

Yeah, that's true. Which is pretty sh*tty since Hot Toys has some really nice packaging... I may just end up tossing it if I can't use it for storage in the future. Maybe you and me can work a deal Mookey :naughty

Just got him in today!!! And I am thrilled with this figure! :chew :chew

Hot Toys really knocked one out of the park with this figure. Mine also thankfully came with no paint damage, so not everyone from Alter Ego's has this problem (I hope things work out for you Pjam!). But really this figure just rocks and is definitely among the top 10 coolest 1/6 figures I own. Especially amazing considering that I guess there is like 0% resuse on this figure, so very impressive.

My only two complaints would be his head does seem a smidge large, and that you can't reuse the box; which is sad because it is great packaging.:monkey2

Here's a shot of him finishing of my Endoskeleton:

Thanks GB, glad you dig the Robo, it is an amazing piece. :D

Good News/Bad News From Marc @ AE

We're waiting until the end of the week to give Sideshow our total damage count. I've been told that we should be able to replace all of the damage figures, but it's going to take a couple of weeks to get the damaged figures back from our customers, shippped to Sideshow and get the replacements shipped to us. I know that's kind of backwards, but that's how we have to do it with Sideshow.

Hang in there, and please keep the figure and packaging handy to ship back when the time comes.

Wow, I figured the people who ordered from Sideshow would have theirs by now? He's is definitely worth the wait.

Too bad it will take a couple of weeks, but at least you can get a replacement. I did just notice a small (pin-sized) bit of missing paint on the lower part of of the back of his helmet, but its minor and nothing I'm worried bout.

I'm still waiting for mine, and I ordered from Sideshow. Man, I hope Robo's alright. I hate to go through the fuss of sending him back and waiting for a replacement! Btw, did i get this right that the entire figure will be replaced, not just the head?

Got mine the other day! :chew

Love it and it's one of my best figures but I have some small problems:

The helmet does have some small paint missing on the lower back. Nothing I'm going to worry about

The support stand was gripping to hard around his waist and now where I've removed it, it's taken some of the black paint off the black rubber. Once again, nothing too bad.

But if you're displaying yours, you might want to bend the metal support so it's a bit wider.

Other than that... AMAZING!!! :monkey5

I can't wait for ED-209!

Yes... you got it right and AE will pay for shipping too! :D

From Marc @ AE

We'll cover all new shipping costs. We will need to reimburse you for the cost to ship the figure back to us, but we'll get to that once we get everything lined up with Sideshow.
