Actually I had always felt i will keep one robocop... So I cancelled my regular with chair and will just go with bd and weller... Somehow that seems like a better deal to me than regular + chair... I know for fans both are essential but, I am like 'on the fence' fan of the movie and had no issues giving Ed 209 a pass so I guess just bd + weller shld represent the movie in my collection pretty ok. PreOrdered!

Battle Damaged Murphy and Alex Murphy? Ain't never seen these two before.

That is a great point (though I love the HT SW stuff that's coming out and will be down for the majority of it). Still not sure I need the Alex Murphy figure or if it would really add a lot to a display, but it's tempting.

Hmmm, thinking I can get the bd robo down to 260 with the ten off first purchase and a twentyfive dollar gift card. Tempting . . .

It would need to go giftcard eligible, which seems unlikely. If you're patient, you'll be able to order with a $20 off coupon, at some point. I'm assuming you can combine that with the $10 first purchase discount, though not 100% sure.

You get the honour of paying extra shipping, and tax on the item and the shipping. Plus a Fed Ex admin fee unless you have an account with them. Might even have to pay duty as well considering the value of this set.

There's no exclusive so why not order locally? The only benefit you will get from ordering from Sideshow is earlier delivery.

I'm with you on this. I'm in the process of selling all my Gentle Giant Star Wars busts. They're great pieces but as much as I love Star Wars, the franchise as a whole has had it's quality greatly diluted over the years and my excitement for the new trilogy is minimal at best. I've just started collecting HT figures and won't be able to get many but where else can you get likeness quality and posing options like these beauties? RoboCop being my all time favourite film has nothing to do with it.

So this will be DX only or do they also intend to sell the battle damage version on its own? I'm hoping for the later otherwise there goes my chances of getting a Robo.


On a side note, I really really love the look of these two. The bd seems to tone down the silvers of the clean release a bit. Sooo want the unmasked version for my shelves.

Yeah I agree, the fact that this is still silver is not bothering me at all, the color seems to work for the BD version.
