I'll begin my forum experience here saying that A. I am a huge enthusiast of Verhoeven's RoboCop and B. a properly accurate ED-209 figure has been a dream of mine for a few years by now. Hot Toys' precedent attempt looked off for a variety of reasons, but it seems they're going for a better portrayal this time around. The moving leg rams are the best achievement.

I have however noticed that the prototype features some inaccurate details.

First and most important is, I think, the radiator mouth. The 'hole' is not 'deep' enough:

In fact in the figure it looks like just a sculpted on detail, whereas it should be more of a hole with the 'radiator' inside.

Second, Some details in the shoulder section seem to be off somehow, and the head itself seems to be a tiny bit wider than it actually is.

I'm sorry if I am being nitpicky ahaha. I would notify these things to Hot Toys myself but I have no idea how to contact them and I really don't want to make a Twitter account.

It's already more accurate than the last figure, but I'd love it if they could get it even closer. If you want to contact them, shoot them an email at [email protected]
While you're at it, ask them to make the sensor (?) dome out of plastic instead of crack-prone rubber this time around, too.

I'm with you on this. Not only does the grill need to be deeper, but the overall shape of the dome/head still needs improvement. I was hoping HT would do a total re-sculpt of ED, but it looks like they're just making upgrades.

Now that doesn't mean that nobody will see your e-mail, or that they won't forward your suggestions/criticsism to the production team, although they probably won't if they only hear from a handful of people, but you'll know how it goes when the figure comes out in Hong Kong.
