Being an old guy, I can tell you , at the time, lightsabers seemed:

Heavy as hell, and maybe gyroscopic when handled

Dangerous as hell....

Obi moved lightning fast in the Cantina, so speed was not really the problem.the fragile nature of the props limited the action. Plus , GL wanted more of an Erol Flynn type of sword play.

I think they also wanted what they were saying to each other to be the focus....not the sword play.

That was carried through in TFA and to an extent in TLJ. But Johnson started to get carried away with the choreography in a Matrix-y way and that started to separate this from the OT. And obviously the PT did that way before too.

Yeah. The majority of SW “explanations” I think are just fan theories.

I don’t expect polystone but I hope the throne has some heft to it at least. I’d imagine the fact that it’s $90 more than just getting the figure that it’ll be decently made.

That being said, I'm sure the throne will be well made, even if they sometimes miss on accessories regarding how things work or looks at least Hot Toys will use high quality materials. I'm betting mostly plastic, polystone is begging for trouble with the weight and fragility.

Hot Toys generally is decent quality though. I don’t see them cheaping out when they’re selling something as a deluxe option. It’s one thing if it’s an afterthought or just an accessory but different when you’re plunking down extra cash.

Hoping for some die cast or weight in the throne. Just going off of my expectations of K-2S0 which I was surprised with its heftiness. Yeah the throne takes up a lot of real estate but I believe is stil a must have, either in the deluxe or ever the Jazzinc offering.

I ordered the deluxe just to have the throne as more of a backdrop piece than anything. I plan on leaving Palps in a standing pose most of the time rather than seated. Especially since he’s got his force lightning.

I ordered the deluxe and two guards from BBTS so I will get mine later than everyone else but that’s a good thing because I’m getting ready to take the family on vacation for a week and need to save up for these.

They should fit, Jazz posted a photo in his thread showing 3 figures with his throne room diorama.

If you have Luke/Vader on the lower part of the diorama, there should be room easily for Palps/Chair and his two guards.
