Yeah same here, been debating if I want to pick that Luke up, (already have ANH) but that scene in a detolf with those 3 would be perfect.

Perfect indeed. Too iconic and cool looking to pass up for me. I don't even like Episode VI but I can't deny the awesomeness of that.

So is the consensus for THE Emperor on throne display:

A: Emperor with Luke and Vader

OR

B: Emperor with two Royal Guards

Either would look fantastic. A: being the iconic display while B: being the more eye-catching display... In my opinion.

I plan to go with B simply because I like having all figures facing forward.

Although never an actual scene in the movie i think it would look cool to have Emperor on throne, royal guards on each side, and Vader with Luke in handcuffs standing in front of the Emperor all facing out but spaced in a way that all figures can be seen clearly. If my display area is large enough i might do this once I have all the pieces.

I assumed you meant Emperor with Luke and Vader crossing sabres in front but maybe you just meant standing on each side.

That is the question. I will have two guards and emperor on throne but will have an extra Luke to display with Emperor and Vader when they make an ROTJ one. I may have to find a larger display shelf than just my detolf to display all these goodies.

Both would be awesome. I'll probably go with option B just because of the current figures and layout that I have.

I’m going to presume A would be cheaper.

I assume most people already have Luke. That means you just need Emps and Vader. Option B means you need Emps and two guards.

Man, you guys are making me reconsider buying 2 guards instead of just the 1. My initial plan was to have Palps on the throne with a guard and Vader on each side.

B. Emperor on throne with bookend guards has been my plan.

This is also an awesome plan but would take up a whole shelf in my display. May set up something similar to get a few shots or box up some other figures I need more room!

I'm hoping for Chancellor Palpatine from the office battle with three interchangeable heads -- neutral, snarling and scarred. I know that's unlikely, but I can dream!

I’ve preordered the standard Palpatine and 2 guards for my display. The throne looks great but was just getting a bit pricey combining the 3 figures. Plus, I kinda like him standing/walking (emerging from his shuttle).
I think any of the combos are going to look amazing. Can’t wait to see what people come up with.[emoji106]

I was sort of planning on having the Emperor in the centre of my "Empire" display, and have just ordered one Guard for one side, Vader on the other side. Then various troopers etc expanding right and left. My displays have them on a long shelf horizontally displayed.

However I have been toying with the idea of joining both Empire and Rebel displays together, and having the Emperor in the middle with 2 Guards raised somewhat, then the respective groups Empire to the left, Rebels to the right.

Hmmm decisions, decisions. Any thoughts on what would look best.......if you can follow my description that is.

Yeah i really hope i have enough room but if it looks to crowded it will just be Emperor with Guards on each side. Still badass imo.

Haha, I understand having the guards beside the entrance but it always seemed to me like the Emperor should have had guards on each side of the throne too. I mean there was plenty of room. Also in R1 the guards should have been by the door they were in the back of the room. Somebody could have run in the room and put a lightsaber thru Vaders aquarium before those guards could have gotten over there to stop them. haha

Although i think this idea would look ok I like your original idea better. I just think it looks better to have all Empire together but thats just me.

That will also fit with my 'trio' displays (Vader flanked by stormies or Snowies, Kylo flanked by snowies, and hopefully eventually Grievous flanked by MagnaGuards and Krennic flanked by Death Troopers)
