It's all about the illusion with the feet, you can point the toes downward at the ankles to give the effect they are touching.
On my to do list maybe trim a quarter inch off the base peg, but not really that important to me.

The goofy grin looks ok in about 1/3rd of the pics. I hope this is one of those cases where the figure looks much better in person than in pics.

By the way, mine just shipped out from Alter Ego.

Palpatine just arrived...

He is a challenge to futz. I do think the ROTJ look can be achieved through. I may have to snip the seam on the hood, not sure. I will probably paint the eyes a bit more yellow. As mentioned earlier, hands are a bit large.

Overall nice figure, not great. He is a must for a OT display though.

Yeah, I think the way I've embraced this figure/set is to see it less as a "centerpiece" type piece and more as a part of a wider ROTJ/OT display.

I just think that the only pics where the seated-on-throne set-up looks good is where the lighting is very, very carefully managed (ie. mimicking the onscreen look) - which is hard in most displays, which either just have natural daylight or the Detolf top lighting. Under that "regular" lighting, even with the pose mega-carefully tweaked, it still looks underwhelming. Both Palps and the Palps/throne combo is a "less light the better" situation, and you can fool the eye by really working the lighting.

This is mine just as part of one of my ROTJ cabinets as "just another figure" and it looks fine. It's a solid figure. I'm not done futzing the robe just yet, but the throne wore me out, so I'm on a Palps break.:lol

Waiting on BBTS; I hope it's sooner than later to avoid the massive shipping cluster**** that Christmas brings.

Cool Han custom, but you don't think he really put on a full AT-ST uniform in ROTJ do you?

Take it up with Hasbro.:lecture:lol I did love that 3 3/4" figure - one of my faves back then.

And technically, you'd think that Han would have had no way of knowing how wide the viewscreen would actually frame him, so it would have been smart to pull on the jumpsuit just in case (with slightly wider framing he'd come through as a guy in Imperial helmet, gloves... and smuggler vest:lol)

You'd also think that putting the dark goggles on would have been a smart idea given Han's face had just been up-close to the very Imperials who would be seeing him on the viewscreen thirty minutes later. So much for "my best troops...":rotfl

Thank you buddy

That's what I mentioned the other day and thinking about doing as far as shortening the base. I think that would do wonders. But if I can get him looking as good as you did as is, I might just go with it. LOL

The dark side of the futz is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural.

His eyes look fine to me. If you light his face under the brows of doom they are yellow, like in episode VI. No cgi lighting effect like Anakins eyes in episode III which is why the two figures eyes are not exaxtly the same. I think Hot Toys did it correct.

He could have just pretended to be an AT-ST driver wearing the smuggler vest as a trophy (like the Stormtrooper who inexplicably holds Han's own gun on him instead of his officially issued blaster, lol.)

Yep. :lol

Picked up a brand new regular off eBay for $216 shipped. Should be here by Thursday. I have a deluxe on order from BBTS but I wanted some extra parts so I just bought a whole extra figure. Anything I don’t need I can easily sell. Can’t wait to see this in hand.
