I’m seeing a lot of pics where the hood is showing too much forehead. With Palps you’ve gotta give him a triangular frame on the hood. Can it be done? I first pointed the hood is too small but with cutting the stitching is it possible? Is there wiring in the hood?

It can be done but I don't know if removing the stitching helps since I haven't tried that. The stitching does restrict some and causes the hood to pull back some.

Yeah that's a safe bet. Like I posted earlier, I think eventually I am going to bite the bullet and do some mods on him anyway. So we'll see.

Been in NYC all week but home now and eager to wrestle a pose out of this guy. Jaymig has given me hope....


I'm also in the camp that believes the Emperor is a very underwhelming figure on its own -- even more so in hand with those brown puppy-dog eyes -- so I do hope I can find a way to incorporate the throne without relegating it to a bulky background piece.

The goofy grin looks ok in about 1/3rd of the pics. I hope this is one of those cases where the figure looks much better in person than in pics.

What if the throne was an actual prop and not a real chair? What if the prop-makers didn't make actual leather/pleather cushy seat panels for "the actor" to be comfy? What if the cushions were hard-as-a-rock plastic just like the HT chair because the chair is a big prop? How does that change the argument that the cushions are the problem?


Evidence: Mark's kid ain't making a dent on those "cushions".

Palpatine just arrived...



He is a challenge to futz. I do think the ROTJ look can be achieved through. I may have to snip the seam on the hood, not sure. I will probably paint the eyes a bit more yellow. As mentioned earlier, hands are a bit large.

Overall nice figure, not great. He is a must for a OT display though.

Quick picture, looking forward to working on him.

Let me ask honestly. Should the eyes be that yellow like the way he looked in the Prequel? I mean isn't his eyes more subtle in Jedi?
