Emperor comes with literally nothing though -- cane and maybe lightning bolts. Like Leia and Snowtrooper, he can't be more than $209.99.
I really hope the Emperor/Chair two-pack is not more than $259.99.
Whatever it is will set the price for the DS Trooper + control panel.

I would love to see palps with at least 2 heads. One angry and one smiling or straight faced. Lightning attachments like on Thor's hammer. Cane. Several hands for gesturing since that seemed to be most of what he did. And Luke's hilt. Chair and f course with sounds and phrases. That would be my ultimate display.

This is the HT figure I'm most excited for, I can't wait for the full reveal. Force Lightning and a snarling headsculpt would make him perfect, but I agree that we're unlikely to get that much.

One of the important things with Emperor is that we have never seen him in SW in full light, he is always in some kind of shadow. This will need to happen to scaled 1:6, 1:4 figures and 1:1 or 1:2 busts.
Force lightning attachments would be great but I hope they have some pieces that can snap onto another figure so it looks like they are getting hit.

And if that is a must have, they would have to do 2 sculpts ....because a calm sculpt with FL is stupid and ONLY a snarling sculpt would be silly.

In my opinion Hot Toys have been reasonable on pricing for pretty much all the Star Wars line. The only figures that have been a tad overpriced are Boba Fett and Darth Vader. Chewbacca was pricey but was also a pretty unique figure and a pretty impressive one to have made with rooted hair. The other figures in the line have all been about what you'd expect from Hot Toys in terms of pricing.
The only thing that I think will put the Emperor over the top a bit in terms of pricing is the throne. It's just a matter of how much that will factor in. Really though it seems like a pretty simplistic piece and doesn't have a ton of details aside from the control panels on the arm rests. Like you say though the figure itself is probably going to be pretty bare bones. Cane and maybe lightning. Possibly a second sculpt but I sort of doubt it.

I could see a straight forward Emperor figure without the throne being $219.99. Giving the benefit of the doubt that it'll have two sculpts (one snarling and one straight faced), cane and Force Lightning attachments.
With the throne, I could see it likely being as much as the recent TF EX BD BvS Armored Batman, in the $265.99 - $269.99 range. Including all the accessories enumerated above and maybe even a Luke Skywalker lightsaber hilt as an added bonus.

Wishful thinking on Emperor and Throne pricing..I'd think more in the Nolan Batman packs...Batman / Armory ... Robin / Bat Signal etc.
What was that pricing? Armory was huge and had tons of loose stuff.
I never bought either set so I don't know exactly $300 - $400?. Robin was plain Jane figure with bat signal much like Emperor.....

Like WG said, Armory had tons of loose accessories, and three figures I think? Not to mention a myriad of lights and a remote control to control them with.
Edit: Just checked the archives at SSC, and there was an Armory set that only included Batman that was $384.99, then a set that included Batman, Bruce Wayne and Alfred figures, which was $624.99.
The only one relevant though is the single Batman figure Armory offering (since Emperor is a single figure). Doubt Emperor and throne would be the $384.99 price.

I bet not that high. The armory is a lot bigger plus it's filled with accessories and has light up features. Plus at minimum that came with a Batman figure inside the armory which is more involved of a figure than the Emperor would be (there was also the set with Alfred plus the armory and Batman and one with Alfred, Bruce, and the armory with Batman).
