I'm not sure which one I'd get, if that's what they offer.

The throne to me would be ideal if you're going for a Luke vs. Vader vs. Sidious duel, with Luke lightsaber dueling Vader and the Emperor sitting on his throne, watching in approval. That to me would require getting a RotJ Vader and I'm not sure I'd want to have another Vader in my collection and if I did, if RotJ is the one I would want over the inevitable ESB version (which in that case I'd probably pose dueling Bespin Luke).

If I have Emperor by himself, I'd definitely pose him with the presumably included Force Lightning attachments. Wouldn't feel the need at that point to get a RotJ Vader, as Emperor would look fine as a stand alone piece, simply representing the character.

Doubtful it'd be that much.

Like WG said, Armory had tons of loose accessories, and three figures I think? Not to mention a myriad of lights and a remote control to control them with.

Edit: Just checked the archives at SSC, and there was an Armory set that only included Batman that was $384.99, then a set that included Batman, Bruce Wayne and Alfred figures, which was $624.99.

The only one relevant though is the single Batman figure Armory offering (since Emperor is a single figure). Doubt Emperor and throne would be the $384.99 price.

I'd expect an Emperor and Throne to be at least $350 -$400 on task with Bats and the Armory. People thinking it's only going to be $50 more than figure must not buy from HT. 😏

I didn't mention the higher priced sets because they had a multitude of figure options which obviously wouldn't apply. It isn't beyond the realm of possibility HT could offer a similar package deal tho....one Emperor and Throne, one Emperor, Throne and Vader and the final Emperor, Throne, Vader and Luke

Who knows we'll find out soon

Batman is a much bigger gouge than the Emperor.

They do $350 on Emp/chair then I'd pass -- bet many others would too. Pick it up on ebay 6 months later for $250 easy. Look at all the other Star Wars stuff. The guys that spend that kind of money on Star Wars already have an Emperor's chair (Sideshow).

If he comes with 2 heads, lightning, and the chair like he should I can't imagine it costing less than $299.

What about Emp + throne + 2 guards for $699 :)

I'm really divided on getting HTs ROTJ Luke Skywalker. Just got Civil War Iron Man and after figure really want to call it quits on HTs. I want to make a move to 3A but this guy had to come out. It would be an easy decision if he was DX cause they made another of Jack Sparrow why not Luke especially since EPVI was another prominent film in Star Wars franchise at that time and for me still is. That's my favorite one. I think that's the best one out of all 6 really don't count TFA as that was....a mess Don't want to get into particulars as the discussion here is focused on the EPVI Star Wars figures HTs are doing. Didn't finish. Anyway the Emperor would be a great addition to the collection but it needs to be around the price Yoda was from what I'm reading here. And I forgot about the royal guards great other things to get.

:exactly:

Batman as a character is way more popular than the Emperor. $299 is the max I think they would do, but I even doubt that. $350 is an easy pass. Anything over $299 is.

Yoda came with two heads and some logs and rocks for under $200.

Emperor with cane and lightning (that's nothing)... can't be more than $209. I think we all agree. So another $50-$60 tacked on for a large piece of plastic makes sense to me. Another $90 for the chair...? Possible I suppose if you think SS prices are a good indicator of the market -- which I don't. Another $150 for the chair -- impossible.

I'm going to stick with my $250-$270 price range. That's my bet and I hope I'm right. I bet you guys hope I'm right too.

One thing though, shipping from Sideshow on this thing will push its total price to $350. :lol

Yoda and what he came with is exactly what I'm comparing and likening it to as well. Not Batman.

Emperor is a bit taller though so that's why I say $219, but I just say that because that's the max I think it'd be. $209 seems likely though also. Like you said, I really don't see the throne costing an extra $150. If so, you'll see the regular figure selling and the throne set sitting on the shelf. Like you mentioned, you could probably either eventually get the entire set probably for $250, or the chair parted out by itself.

$219.99 for Emperor, $269.99 for Emperor and throne is my prognostication.

Like you said, $350 out the door all costs included from SSC. :lol

I'm not disagreeing, I'm stating based on their history what sizable accessory has been added for $50? Chirrut's base increased the cost almost $40...folks think a chair (especially if lit up) would be $50 - $75 more....doesn't seem realistic more wishful thinking basing it off their past history. Dunno

I don't know about the throne. Hot Toys would make it battery operated and the switch would be hard to get to so I would pass on that. I have the sideshow version. It would need to almost be no extra charge for me to get the Hot Toys version.

I don't want to throw off your always well thought out logical posts, but just remember what another big piece of plastic with some lights costed some of us.... lololzzz

My guess is the Emp will be $209 without chair and it is never offered..

or it is sold separately, this will allow them to package it to market on it's own with probably some cardboard backdrop and will run everyone $189 which in the promotional photos they post of it with the emp will make it a must buy with it's WOW scale and lights factor lolzz

I think Emperor will be between $210 and $220 on his own. I would imagine he'll be offered as a figure only or a deluxe set with the throne. Honestly the more I think of it I want the throne but it may not be completely necessary for my display. I'm not sure if I'll get another Vader to duel with Jedi Luke and that's really the only time we see him sitting in it. It would just seem fitting to have it but if it's too much I may get the figure only.

The Emperor by himself is rather barebones unless he comes with two head sculpts. So he could go from $210 to $220. And let's compare it it to the Rey & BB-8 set. Rey by herself was $225 and she came with a ton of accessories, then the set was $285. So another $60 for quite a heavy droid with magnets, lights, sand base and removable attachments. How do we think the throne compares to BB-8? I know it's bigger but I think it's more simple, so hopefully it wouldn't cost more.

I'm hoping Emperor and Throne roll in at the lower prices folks think.....it be a no brainer purchase considering other options for an quality Throne chair.

That's the insanity pricing of Sideshow. How they price their toys must be via dart competition.
Yeah Sideshow pricing is nuts. I mean you have things like the Han in Carbonite "figure" (and it's really a stretch to call it that it's more like an accessory) at $250 which is absolutely ridiculous for what it is. This is also the same company who offered their bare bones Red 5 Luke for $240 the same year as Hot Toys announced their fully loaded farmboy Luke for $230. Hot Toys isn't as absurd with pricing. Still expensive yes but more in line as to the overall package they're delivering.

My sentiments as well.

$275 for Rogue Group Snowspeeder Luke that doesn't even include his most iconic accessory used while in that outfit, while HT would probably price the same figure for no more than $239, while including that accessory and probably also a snow base.

Good combo pack comparison also.

I'm going to remain steadfast at $219.99 for Emperor, $269.99 for Emperor + throne. $50 discrepancy. I think people would shell out the extra $10 for an extra item that is either $60 or $50, when the $60 is also another character (BB-8). The $50 one (the throne) is basically just an accessory/prop.
