Want a two pack of the Airborne and grunt. Then they can get on with the 501st and Coruscant Guard.

Every Clone variant should get a 2-pack option.

"Clones" are the type of movie concept that must make people like Howard Chan get up in the morning with a spring in their step.

Every figure can use the same headsculpt, just perhaps paint variation.

So what do we expect ? 3 figures like this per colour group ? I don't know them all. Wolf Pack, Team Anakin, Team Obi-Wan, Team Yoda. Am sure some prequalist will be able to step in here.

1) Commander Gree
2) 501st Legion 'Vader's Fist'
3) Coruscant Guard
4) Commander Bacara
5) Commander Bly
6) Commander Neyo
7) Kashyyyk Trooper
8) Galactic Marine (my own personal favourite)

Any others are just a bonus. Oh, and no headsculpts = keep the price down.

He definitely would be, but I was going off Revenge of the Sith, and not including those from the animated shows. Strangely enough I think he has a very good chance of being made, despite being a Clone Wars character, because of his popularity and iconic look. The same goes for Commander Wolffe. I can't see them going any deeper into the Clone Wars than those two.

I'd put Gree at number 1 because he has the most memorable scenes in ROTS, along with Cody and the 501st. Plus he'll make a very striking looking figure with that camouflage paint job. I used to own the Black Series version of him, and that was one hell of a figure, I can only imagine how good a Hot Toys version would look. I like Bacara best of the Commanders myself.

Yeah some very memorable designs there. I remember almost pulling the trigger on SS Bacara back in the day. But that was before I really got into the hobby. I'm only entertaining one or max two of these. But good to decide now which are the favourite designs, and those which would well accompany PT Anakin and Obi-Wan which I have. Therefore;

Obi-Wan + Cody
Anakin + (Rex if they make him)
Waiting on Queen Amidala

and that should round out my PT core group. Cody wasn't on the radar until possibly now. Otherwise just the 3.

I've had to resist those SS Clones myself many times in the past. It's good to set yourself a limit, but I honestly think the HT Clones will end up being some of the most sought-after figures on the secondary market, which means the price will skyrocket. The Clone Troopers are definitely my major weakness, so I'll collect every single one they make. Scalpers will snap these up.

The two I see getting somewhere near to the Rogue One troopers in secondary market value would be the Galactic Marine and Clone Scout Trooper (Kaskyyyk Trooper), mainly because of their unique design and resemblance to the Snowtrooper and Biker Scout. You could probably add the Airborne Trooper to that.

I doubt the TROS merch takes over anything. Hot Toys probably makes Kylo, Rey, and maybe another token character. They already made the token trooper that Disney probably requires. All the figures from TLJ are readily available for well under retail. Can't imagine Hot Toys is excited to make more.

I remember when I first watched ROTS and thought Cody was the highest ranking clone in the Star Wars universe. Would have been more easy to pick a number one spot then, but now, with all the variants... They look nice but makes me anxious to want them all, because if you start with one orange you’ll have to get the blue and then the red

Man I just desperately hoping Hot Toys would at least consider releases 2 pack for the Airborn + phase 2 grunt Clone, with Cody and Obiwan, together all they would absolutely make a stunning 212th Attack Battalion

and every Jedi who hold a rank of General during the Clone Wars had their own Clone military unit, each distintively marked with their own color and emblems... like Obiwan's unit was accentuated with orange, while the 501st of Anakin was blue.

It's interesting that Hot Toys has made the same mistake with the chin vent/grille on Cody's helmet that Sideshow did by making it grey instead of black.

But having said that, I’ve heard some theories that could really turn everything around for me personally, and would make a lot of sense. I don’t know if Disney will go with these ideas or not, but if they do they could really salvage the sequel trilogy despite its political correctness, and make sense of a lot of things that as things stand now do not. That could change the figure market as well - Star Wars used to be big all over. It can be again if they play their cards right, especially if they can deliver an ending that will please more older fans and new ones alike. Not holding my breath, but at least there are possibilities.

Personally can't see that happening, although I wish it were possible. This trilogy is over for many.

The Mandalorian and Obi-Wan shows are where the music is playing to re-unite the fanbase imo.

Why Commander Gree in #1 ?

He never made an appearance in the movies, so Hot Toys will not be making him. They only will if they decide to do a separate The Clone Wars line later on, which is possible due to the new season releasing. I?m glad at least the normal 501st troopers made an appearance in Ep 3 otherwise there would be no chance of one releasing from Hot Toys.

I'll watch the next movie at some point but I'm not particularly excited about it. For me personally the sequels will never be a trilogy because I'll never watch the abomination that was episode 8 disguised as a Star Wars movie ever again. I'll hope for the best, but I really think that if Star Wars is going to return to form they need to replace Kathleen Kennedy with someone competent.

So am a bit late to the party but decided I should get this guy to round out my small PT group. He does look pretty damn good with some good accessories and plenty going on with his battle damage etc compared to a lot of the other clones.

PT group plan is Obi-Wan, Anakin, Cody (Clone representation), DX Maul and hopefully a decent version of Padme (Queen version preferenced). Others would be nice, but got to draw the line somewhere.

Captain Rex Hot Toys would be a perfect choice for 501st battalion with Anakin, throw in a pair of Fives and Echo phase II armor would be a dream come true, just like old SS used to do...
