The big problem, I think is that he has armor *everywhere.* When you manipulate a figure like this, as you move him of course you dont ever want to put real pressure on a joint. Got it. But.... he has armor everywhere, so you have few ways to grip him securely. You cant hold the joint, and you cant hold him anywheres else! Let the FUN begin.

F.U.N._title_card.jpg

If his head gives me any more trouble I will simply white-glue it in place; if I need to break that seal later it can easily be done.

Still gorgeous, tho. I'm not mad.

I've seen lots of posts on Reddit about this figure falling apart left and right. Not a good sign...

What are the specific problems -- with the underlying body falling apart or the pieces of armor?

I've never had an HT body fall apart in my hands. They are usually too firm if anything. The idea that an entire arm will fall off is not something that was advertised.

I was joking about an entire arm falling off. The forearm tho.... yeah, that fell off immediately.

I do remember thinking, if I could just take this elbow armor off for a second I could really get this arm to stay *on.*

But if I took it off, of course then he wouldnt have it. You'll see what I'm talking 'bout soon.

Other than his hands not being properly molded to the weapon handles mine is mint and sturdy.

He even survived the delivery guy who thinks he is a quarterback.

I did see some comments over on Reddit about a lot of issues with the right arm, the forearm in particular, but someone mentioned that the entire arm popped out of it's socket underneath the cloth body suit Cody has on, which was a first to see for a Hot Toys figure, for me at least. Also saw a post or two about people having problems with the neck, although I think those people were probably pushing too hard when putting the head on, I could see how that could become an issue. Some commentary about the joint pegs snapping very easily too.

The right forearm is an absolute nightmare. I was trying to get Cody to hold his gun pointing upward and the forearm popped off with next to no pressure, and was difficult to get back in due to the way the armor is designed. It's tough to really press firmly on things. In the process of futzing with it I somehow got the shoulder joint turned upside down, so when I got the forearm back in place, I couldn't get the arm to rest nicely against the body for a relaxed gun holding pose - back to square one. Still futzing with him, took all the arm armor off to fix the shoulder and try again.

The figure looks incredible. It's visually stunning and I have to commend Hot Toys on a job well done, but the body just sucks. I don't think Rex and the other Clone Troopers will suffer from the forearm issue, the reason it's so bad on Cody is because it's the forearm you remove to replace for the forearm with batteries for the holocommunicator in his hand. The other Clones won't come with that, so Cody is just going to be an example of finding a simple pose and not touching him again.

In other news, Mythos Fett immediately grabbed that blaster rifle and I dont think Cody will be getting that back anytime soon. It DOES look really good with him, too.

UPS just dropped mine off

Will open him up later...and pray for nothing major being wrong with him.

Nothing should be "wrong" with him, just be gentle when setting him up.

It took more work to get him into a pose I was content with, and you have to be delicate, but as long as you're not a newbie to this you'll be fine. He's a great figure. I'm happy I have him. Was just a total PITA to set up.

This figure is not a pleasure to pose. Forget about having the Morrison sculpt holding the helmet unless you want the little helmet doo dads to break one day. The weathering is ok, but it's that kinda fake printed on look. Finally a commander/officer that includes a pointing finger! I'm not dissatisfied overall, just a little disappointed. But it's probably the best looking Cody figure that will ever be produced.

But that is HT in a nut shell aesthetics over function and stability.

People acting as if this is the first HT that is an action figure in name only or made of a material that will break, pinch, crease, stretch, rip, stick or disintegrate if you look at it the wrong way.

Rule # 1 of HT.

You touch your HT it will break.

Rule # 2 of HT.

You will pay thru the nose to buy an unstable product with weak glued tiny magnets because of the nice screen accurate aesthetics.

Sheesh y’all acting like a bunch of HT newbs now stop all of your whining get your replacements and lets move onto to stressing over Rex next lol

I like the lighting here....good shot!

I'm awaiting this (along with Qui-Gon and Solo-Maul) from BBTS so maybe February if I'm lucky. Could very well be a different batch than what folks are receiving now....probably with a completely different set of issues.

Enjoying the pics and back n' forth and still very excited about getting this figure.

Just dropping a quick note to tell you guys that if you are thinking of getting this figure, I would advise double boxing. It seems HT changed the shipper box to a much thinner and cheaper cardboard. Who would have thought that was possible? Its literally like a slip case thickness over the art box. Im hoping this isn't a trend for future releases.

Man this figure is beautiful, trying a bunch of poses so far, he can be a bit awkward to pose but really no complaints so far. Going to try the holding the helmet pose later today after work.

He looks great with HT Kenobi, but I think he'll look best with Rex and other clones/clone commanders.

Wanted to see how good the hologram light is but can't get the damn screw off.

Thank you he is a fun statue to photo.

I instantly noticed that in hand and to think UPS flung him against my wall on delivery sheesh. I’m very fortunate he is intact.

I thought I was going to break the forearm trying to pry it open.

I wouldn't say I'm dissatisfied or disappointed, just annoyed. Hot Toys have always been a delicate commodity, I've just never had to be quite this delicate with one of their figures. It looks great, I'm satisfied with the pose I was able to get him into and I just don't plan on touching him until I move and need pack him up someday. I'm happy I have him, and I just hope Rex and the other Clones won't have this issue. They shouldn't.
