Re: Hot Toys – SDCC 2012 Ex - Captain America TFA: Captain America Rescue Version

Really wanted this one but with the shipping and custom fees it would have been over 300$, so I decided to make a custom one.

Everything minus the body costed about 100$, good deal.

Thought I would share.

Great custom looks exactly the same as the Hot Toys version (with the obvious addition of the weathering/BD)

This might be better than HT's.

Couple more of mine. One in natural light and one in his newly well-lit Detolf. Also ____ Ikea on Saturdays.

Might be? :rotfl

I'd say it definitely is! :clap

The weathering & battle damage shows how plain HT's (waaay) overpriced version is.

That's fantastic work, elvis.
And props on saving your money for something more worthwhile. :rock2

Great looking custom, and craftsmanship is tops as usual. Most one off customs are, especially by some of the very talented people here.

I prefer HT's version though, even if is a bit overpriced. I would love to see someone paint the hair with more blonde highlights.

Yeah I simply wanted to examine it a bit before committing. And you're right, it IS better than HT's, at least in those two particular pictures. The jacket fits better, it's damaged, weathered, and so are the pants. The chest star on the undershirt is bigger and while not accurate gives the fig a more impressive look.

Incredible job, simply.

Re: Hot Toys – SDCC 2012 Ex - Captain America TFA: Captain America Rescue Version

Does anyone foresee any problems with the jacket from leaving the elbows bent long term?

That's great man! Makes me want to do one. By the way, do you have a recipe for this?

With this being limited and sold only at SS right now, do we know how many are produced. I was going back and fourth with this one, but dont want to wait to long and have to buy it for more later down the road
