Looks good to me ! I'm in for one. Even if they wanted to give us a Tobey head, the head and torso are all in one piece so the head can't really come off.

Well, the Mike called it IMO

Just my first impression, but I think it looks like ____ ("s" word). I think I prefer the Medicom version, honestly.

It's not bad... but the body could use a bit more bulk in certain areas.

The main problem (and one I can't believe they didn't think of) is that they used plastic for the "boots." First of all, that takes away the consistency of the fabric deal. I'm all for using plastic hands (eh, kind of), but why use plastic all the way up the shins? This SERIOUSLY takes away from ankle articulation.

Any baby with a brain would've gone with using fabric there. You actually have to put in effort to make a decision as dumb as that one.

The only two things that bother me are the coloring on the webs, and the lack of ankle articulation. But hey, for all we know that could be fixed. I mean, look at the changes War Machine got since his first pictures were released.
I'll get it either way though, because even with those two problems, it looks fantastic.

Could've done it like the DX Batman with full rubber boots. Those allowed for great ankle articluation.

Looks good. Don't know about the boots through. Why not cloth boots for posing?

I agree, you can't compromise poseability with a Spidey figure. Articulation is of the utmost importance and the boots will hinder the ankle movement that is vital for quirky, typical Spidey poses.

I love Spidey, but I don't know about this one. I don't even know if I should wait to see if HT would do the reboot Spidey instead or just get this one a be done with it. So much decisions so little money :/

Meh, I'll still buy it because it is Spidey, but this figure is butt-ugly. Maybe it is the best they could do with the source material, but that ____ty looking gray webbing on his suit is killing me.

Thanks for those other pics, robbie! That one of him on the building corner is awesome.

After seeing them I do agree about the boots. They could be better. So he's 95% perfect then.

I'm getting the feeling that this run will be similar to the first Batman Begins, first TDK Batman and first TDK Joker figures where we'll see a new updated Spidey after a few months. :D

Lately, HT seems to be bent on making things harder for themselves. It's like (and bear in mind this is a rough reenactment):

HT decision-making dude 1: "Hmm... well, the rest of the figure is covered in fabric. Pretty slick, pretty slick. Articulation will be in-SANE on this sucker!"

HT decision-making dude 2: "Hells, yeah. Poseability will be through the ROOF! So um, what'll we use for the boots?"

HT decision-making dude 1: "Just use plastic. I mean... yeah. It's totally... yeah, plastic."

Anyhow... the eyes are also a little strange. That mesh pattern is much finer in the film. At this rate, they might as well have just gone with a shiny silver color with some fine printing on it.
