This figure is basically what I'd expect from someone that is pretty decent at making their own custom figures, not what I'd expect from the leading 1/6 figure company.
Left is new one.Is the update the left or right? Because if it’s the left…that webbing is sloppy and too thick around the lenses
Your permanently masked or unmasked figs definitely look the best, but keep in mind Hot Toys has shown a prototype where the neck seam is almost non-existent too; they just totally botched production on the Tobey figure.I feel like a two pack with a permanently unmasked Peter Parker would be my favored solution to the swappable headsculpt problem. While I appreciate HT's attempt at a better solution than their previous fully suited neck, or the 3rd party neck condom (lol), I still feel like the most accurate looking and least goofy would be a a straight up unmasked bonus body. It'll never happen, obviously, but a guy can dream.
This was my (permanent) mod on a Holland figure. With the new Toby design's neck, it just won't be possible. So I'm stuck with their detached neck solution.

Howard clearly has a favourite Spider-Man.Your permanently masked or unmasked figs definitely look the best, but keep in mind Hot Toys has shown a prototype where the neck seam is almost non-existent too; they just totally botched production on the Tobey figure.

Here’s another pic.
Nah I think the company just is so deep in Disney crap that they given more money to produce Disney stuff compared to things not made by Disney. However spiderman merch is Disney owned so I don’t get them always doing Hollander so well when Tobey and Andrew have more praise then he does as Spider-ManHoward clearly has a favourite Spider-Man.
Tobey and Andrew both botched.
I agree. I believe it has alot to do with the head shape and the color of the lenses. If the frames were silver and the lenses had that cloudy effect it would look better.Look, is it better? Yes.
But something is still super off about the mask. Is it the head shape?
But man does this look like a cheap figure next to the Holland figures.
Is there seriously no way to pull the entire fabric overlay down towards the front? I feel like that would solve the issue.New version with the pulled up webbing now just shows off the awkward wide jaw of the underlying face sculpt. One step forward, one step back.
Unfortunately, the NWH suit was downgraded and didn’t have those features. The lens was all black and they took away the gradient effect on the lens.I agree. Where is the head on the left from? It looks like a completely different face shape under the mask.New version with the pulled up webbing now just shows off the awkward wide jaw of the underlying face sculpt. One step forward, one step back.
It's the new Batch 2 version.Where is the head on the left from? It looks like a completely different face shape under the mask.
It's the new Batch 2 version.
That’s what I thought. Not the same sculpt underneath. Looks more like the original mask. It’s a custom/heavily modded one. This is not simply the batch 2 version.
Oh is it not? twn posted it without saying it was modified. He made it too wide if so.It’s a custom/heavily modded one. This is not simply the batch 2 version.
