Man, everything being color coordinated. First the guns now the binoculars... Sorry but it looks so cheesy!! .... Damn Disney!! Like they have fashion designers creating their armor so they don't clash. The dreaded and feared First Order troopers.... With matching outfits and handbags.. All the rage at the galactic fashion show!

To be fair, anonymity coupled with near total uniformity can make for a very frightening army.

I personally would really like them to do Clone Wars stuff . I got to the sideshow game a bit late and only got Phase II Rex. I really want a Cody , Dooku , a new Mace , a Savage , Skywalker , Cad Bane , Ashoka , a better Ventress , a Baris , and more clones probably ....


I would also like the crew from Rebels ...


Lots of potential if Hot Toys will make some realistic Clone Wars figures for me ...

Well if HT did Clone Wars it would be strictly characters from the films.

Why would that be? Do they not have a creative license for anything Star Wars if they get Disney to OK it ?

well they could, I just don't see them bothering with the cartoon stuff. Its just not a priority for them.

Plus the way Sideshow sculpted their figures, so their faces look human-ish. If HT were to do it, they would look very animated, as close to source material as possible. So we couldn't display them with the human figures anyway.

Glad i cancelled the Squad Leader. These will be my only TFA troopers. Love the orange pauldron. Reminds me of OT sandtroopers.

People are colorblind about orange/red. The pauldron is in fact red as you probably suggesting.

Ever heard about German uniforms from 38-45? Hugo Boss designed them. That's just one highlight. But seriously, every army want to match their uniforms and equipment. It's an army, not a circus.

Hm, I really do like the new design of the stormtroopers and their weapons. I'll pass on them for now though. Saving my money for Rey, Finn and whatnot. Wouldn't mind owning that toaster droid though.

I missed out on the OT trooper pack , so these packs for the FA are tempting for me . I can pose them with Kylo and Phasma , and presumably Finn and Rey . And uncannonly I think they might look good behind Vader

Not as much as for others... deal breaker for me will be what comes with the inevitable Riot Control version (bound to go up in the next week or so) to whether I get this 2 pack or get the Commander and riot separately.

Man, I really like this officer better than the squad leader. Unfortunately I've only got one more flex left on the Squad Leader. On the plus side, though at least I'll have a FO trooper soon, rather than having to wait another six months.

I'm thinking of it this way; I'm hoping like the OT the Stormtroopers remain consistent with simply new variations appearing (like the ROTJ Scouts) and maybe small kit changes meaning my TFA Squad Leader (and company) will fit in perfectly with versions made for Episode 9.

There may likely be only one Squad Leader made while the others may get reissues will different stands and accessories, still I am getting what I like from these now while I know I can get them.

I doubt it. It will probably follow the prequel trilogy with many more variations so they can sell more Hasbro toys.

I think I'm going to try to pick up one of the Snowtrooper officers. That will satisfy my desire for the red pauldron, binocs and larger blaster while keeping variety in the collection.
