Where did you read that? The Shadow Trooper's armour is attached in exactly the same way as the Stormtrooper armour. It isn't magnetic
There were some pictures in the shadow trooper thread with the armor removed and there appeared to be magnets on the legs. Is the stormtrooper armor removable then?

It's all removable, there is padding on the body to stop the armour from moving around too much
Yeah, they seem to have the right amount of friction. Another reason I thought that was because the ankles on the shadow trooper were usually looking bad haha

As it turns out, the shorter one is the only one with training. The only one who can shoot straight and fight. If you've seen any Jason Statham movie, you know what I'm talking about. ;)

That's what makes it so great. Those tall guys are pushing him around and it turns out it's Jet Li in there.

My troopers came in earlier a few days ago, taking only about a week to arrive from Hong Kong. Props to all the folks here to who gave the heads-up on how to get these in way before the domestic release date.

And since I have yet to see anyone do this, here is how Luke looks in these particular duds.

was it easy to attach the head? How were you able to do this? This info is super vital with whether or not I should keep my SSC Luke & Han Stormtrooper figures or not... the FATE OF THE WORLD IS IN YOUR HANDS

:O

The black trooper neck peg just has to be detached and replaced with a compatible flesh-colored one. The black plastic neck cuff was originally glued to the neck (along with a black nylon bib), but it comes off fairly easily. It's really not put together any differently than most Hot Toys figures.

Great pics PJB-1138, love honest shots that show figures in natural settings. You don't have the Hot Toys Bespin Luke head (the non battle damaged one) do you? I'd love to see that on the shorter Luke to see if it fits.

I do have the Bespin Luke, but can't imagine why it wouldn't work. In fact, someone posted a photo here a few weeks ago of the battle-damaged Luke on the trooper body, so it should be no problemo. I CAN tell you that the muscle neck from the taller trooper body won't fit onto the smaller trooper body because it's basically a slim TrueType and designed to fit a narrower neck piece.

Thanks - I saw that and it looked great, I was just wondering how the non-BD one looked on it. Really tempted on these now!

Wow, finally checked my email and these things got pushed up to March/April. Cool. Im a little disappointed that Chewy and Han got pushed back to August though. At lest my OT shelf will be off to good running start in a few weeks. Already got Vader, Emperor, the Stormtroopers will be arriving soon and then I plan on getting R2 and Leia and the DX07 Luke. August is Han and Chewy then christmas will be Ben Kenobi and C-3PO. Maybe an imperial officer or rebel trooper to.

I tried to order the two-pack Hot Toys stormies from Sideshow and I was unable to! Sideshow cannot take "Hot Toys" orders from Canada, unless you're an authorized retailer. I know this because after my order was rejected, I called their customer service and the girl explained that it had something to do with their licensing agreement with Hot Toys, which meant certain restrictions regarding countries they could sell / ship to. She also told me she'd email a list of authorized retailers in Canada that would be getting these and could ship them. She of course sent nothing to me. I visited a local sideshow retailer this week, who can't access exclusives which is why I tried to order directly from SS, which makes sense. The retailer guy told me that SS now also has a 30 day window from the date the item actually comes up for pre-order. He explained that if he does not put in his order within 30 days of the pre-order post, he cannot get the items! I'm not sure if the Hot Toys restrictions are for the Star Wars license only but what can I say. I ended up ordering the two-pack somewhere else online…

I really want these guys so what can ya' do?

I'm a little confused...I have these on pre-order...the only issue I had was I couldn't pre-order the exclusive...(obviously I'm Canadian).

Very strange. I am unable to order any of the Hot Toys Star Wars items directly from SS.

Canada boy here! Yeah I know! I've been ordering from them since 2008 and I can't lie, this really pi$$es me off! I tried the whole "huge client" speech when i called them as I have many of their collectibles, including 3 life-size SW figures, but it's a licensing thing they have with Hot Toys… No-go so I'll have to get my stormies, Han, Chewie, Darth and Obiwan elsewhere… I only collect from episodes IV, V and sometimes VI so this year is killing my finances!!!

The info you received sounds odd, ZE already mentioned ordering the non-exclusive. Other people had previously mentioned a similar issue, certain exclusives or combos couldn't be ordered directly from Sideshow, but had to instead be ordered from another shop (that Sideshow distributes to).

Yeah i think it's changed now cause I tried to order both the combo and the single and no-go. I'll try again tomorrow and paste the error message but I can't get access to any of 'em.
